~Chapter 1 – Finally, Mechajaw
Mechajaw, you already know who he is, making Pod's life as hard as it can be, with the legion's lack of activity towards the universe, Mechajaw has an open season. That you would have to read on for, but for now, he is working on what he has been working on for ages, diminishing any intelligent race so the universe can be wildlife only, meaning no complicated conflicts like war or politics. He wants a natural universe, with no races taking advantage of one another. Like the earliest morfils including Pod, Mechajaw had his original life form, only to be remoulded into what could have been the best guardian around, only for that notion to backfire. In the animal kingdom, one animal fighting with another for territory or food is one thing, but using science or technology to play God is a line he doesn’t want to pass. At the moment, he is fighting some Jawsharps, notorious for trying to ambush Zionthor, but while preserving the shros, lizard-like creatures which live within the planet, Mushroo, the land of mushrooms. As the carnage pursues, the Jawsharps try their best to fight the morfils, using their minor ice abilities like freezing gas and ice balls which role as they get bigger, not to mention trying to slash at morfils is not easy considering that the morfils skin is tricky. This results in the morfils doing all sorts to the Jawsharps like punching and kicking them to no end, using their martial art skills to counter any sword movements as well as the ability which an average morfil has, sonic punches, a well charged up punch from a morfil is enough to shatter metal because of the sonic wave. It is almost like a lightning strike but more like an explosion, this is an ability morfils can change from time to time as they actively fight. This means any Jawsharp at the end of the punch would have multiple broken bones, and only an average morfil can do this, not Mechajaw and certainly not Pod, he has his quirks. Not to mention the Morfils have their weapons, a special type of hammer which has sword edges on both ends, making it a blunt weapon which can still cut badly, and the weight is aided by a long handle. These Jawsharps quickly get driven to extinction, with no morfil losing to them, and with the far bigger numbers, but it's Mechajaw who is a walking slaughterhouse. He has a wide range of weapons, which are all embodied within his arms. Not only is his skin harder thanks to netro particles within his skin but he also wears a netro suit underneath a more built-up morfil body, a body with metallic bonds and wiring, making him a cyborg. His arm weapons consist of a blunt weapon, alike a baseball bat that coats around his forearm, a clam to grab and clutch at foes, and a laser cannon with explosive lasers and a laser blade, and he uses them well to fight his foes in an animalistic manner, even biting at foes as an extra ability. He uses all of his advantages against the Jawsharps, driving the whole race to extinction. After finishing sorting out that planet, he plans to go to another one, but he runs on a heat-admitting obsidian which is running low now, and now needs replacing, after sorting out many planets. Now that Mechajaw and the morfils have invaded earlier, they all have returned to their homeworld Orn, Mechajaw is running out of energy, and the heat-emitting obsidian is running out, he needs to find another alternative source otherwise he is done for. And so the morfils help replaces the obsidian as his chest piece opens and then closes, making him more ready for anything but he is very worried at the same time, now he is finished up, he gets the morfils to go away. Before Mechajaw could plan what to do next, considering which planet to go for next while also wondering about alternatives to the heat-emitting obsidian, he was contacted by Zionthor via the communication spell, and with Mechajaw telling other morfils to give him some privacy, talking down on the morfils as he normally does. Zionthor talks with Mechajaw about the fact that aside from Zionthor’s main five allies, only Mechajaw and the morfils can help with the element-searching quest and go for the right races to target, especially with no Dyon nor legion about, making it easier. Mechajaw initially disagrees, keen to make the whole universe a massive zoo of wildlife, but Zionthor strongly challenges that it’s the threats against him and even Mechajaw that need to be stopped. Zionthor wants to take the lives of those who abuse their power, whether they are a threat to him, or to prevent needless havoc like crime and conflicts that could affect the universe. This means that Zionthor will keep some intelligent races, towards other useful aspects like trading, farming, politics and even the economy. Mechajaw gets extremely defensive, stating that he is taking down threats by taking down those who are intelligent, even hinting that Zionthor and his remains could be part of Mechajaw’s list. Zionthor then threatens Mechajaw, talking about how Zionthor can handle all elements and Mechajaw can’t, Zionthor is also a race that was considered royal and this Mechajaw doesn’t have, leading his cult rather than a genuine clan of royalty. From Zionthor’s words, Mechajaw does get mildly intimidated, with Zionthor’s deep echoing voice sending shivers down Mechajaw’s metallic spine, and Zionthor tells Mechajaw again to get going with the quest, knowing that a single piece of heat emitting obsidian does allow enough time to try and find all the elements, meaning Mechajaw has days. But on the other hand, Mechajaw tries to ask about alternatives to which Zionthor says he will provide infinite energy for Mechajaw so Mechajaw does not need to swap any more obsidian in his body. But Mechajaw is also guessing that he could find the forms of energy only to die, as Zionthor keeps belittling Mechajaw, Mechajaw cannot find a reason from Zionthor why Zionthor would want to keep Mechajaw alive other than being part of the clan of finding elements. This means Mechajaw could be thrown away once the elements are all found. And yes Zionthor does remind Mechajaw what the elements are, what they look like, when they were last used and not to mention that the legion and earth are the primary targets considering they have taken down most of Zionthor’s forces. Mechajaw gets annoyed that he is reminded of the elements again, as well as this legion which he has been mostly unfamiliar with aside from a couple of details such as rumours of a morfil being part of it. Plus this legion could threaten him too, and the rest of the morfils share the same amount of familiarity. Overall, he wants a permanent energy source himself compared to the limited heat-emitting obsidian, but he doubts that the elements will ever be in his possession, he wants to keep his focus on diminishing smart races after all. On the other hand, Mechajaw is keen on the challenge against the Earth, already hearing some tales that Earth does have some of the most intelligent races. Before ending the conversation, Zionthor tries to be civil with Mechajaw, telling him not to be like Zionthor’s targets, those whom he believes are using power unwisely except for Zionthor himself. Saying that Mechajaw could be rewarded for being a hero who helped the universe, even part of Zionthor getting his race back once all forms of energy have merged. Mechajaw is slightly touched by this but he does doubt it a couple of times as the call ends, and now, Mechajaw gathers his morfils to get them all going to help Zionthor. As Zionthor is also losing allies with the legion being mostly responsible for, Torrid certainly didn’t make things easier by getting rid of all sorts of races and perhaps adding to any unneeded extinctions too. This makes Torrid a mystery to Zionthor and the others but certainly annoyed by him, also wishing he took down the legion himself, but at least there are many ways to take down the legion, Mechajaw being one of them.
~Chapter 2 – The legion now
We then see the legion, who are nearly non-existent, reduced back to smaller alien threats on Earth alongside some crimes. The team is pathetic compared to what it used to be, only consisting of Zammy, Nicole and even Mike now he got demoted by Retron. The legion recently had to be defended by Mike at a point where Mike had to convince the likes of politicians and even the president to keep the legion going as a team when it would have been cancelled by now. Even the legion has been missing both Pod and Arvin a lot too, even seeing Arvin’s grave now and again. As well as keeping a fur sample in a plastic container, maybe one day seeing the titanrans to help bring back Arvin’s race, or could remain as a memory token. Pod, on the other hand, was just like Arvin, having abilities that helped the team, now there are fewer approaches, fewer numbers and less power. The dynamic is also not very good, Nicole is getting more annoyed by Zammy and Mike is concerned about Nicole being more attached to Mike considering what's been happening. Even then despite his demotion, he is still pleased that he can do some good and even fight alongside the legion for once. The legion now has arrived at their latest mission, at the dam where the next type of foe occurs, aliens which are a size of a dodgem and wears a special suit which essentially makes you a living tank, two side machine guns and a main shooter at the top of their hunchback. Whilst also possess dark cyan skin with their suits being pale green with a lot of rust around them, and they are on their way to blowing up the dam. Zammy swerves the Awesome Atone as Nicole and Mike jump off the side of the Awesome Atone with the side doors opening, and they begin firing at the using their stun lasers with the same guns. The dam consists of a wide bridge across the top of the dam, its calm-level water on the left, and falling water on the right, with fencing and big concrete blocks on both the left and right of the bridge. These concrete blocks both sides use as firing cover, the legion wants to stun, and they want to hold back the legion now it has been made and is on a timer. Zammy is tasked to blow up this bomb, and he does manage to turn it off shortly after zapping some of the aliens away. This stops the bomb just before it goes off, and he stops the bomb by manipulating it using his cube abilities to make the explosion non-functional therefore preventing the flooding of a huge area for the base’s land. This is where he then unleashes all of his power on the rest of the aliens, making Nicole and Mike redundant during the fight, so far, they only managed to fire at some of the aliens without getting hit themselves, using the cover well. However, Nicole then has to shoot Zammy with a stunning laser because Zammy gets over the top with the many lightning zappers he is generating at once. It even starts to crack the ground, but Nicole shooting Zammy makes Zammy see that his power did go too far but it still got the job done. The aliens have all been stunned, and Nicole goes to confront them and finds out that these aliens were not allies of Zionthor, they only wanted to get revenge on the legion. Aiming to blow up the dam would not only draw the legion but it may have made the legion more like enemies of their world, especially to make them responsible for a flood. The legion has been affecting more lives negatively aside from Slitheroc and Torrid, there have been more common cases of the legion being targeted and even earth overall too. Now that Zionthor’s allies have shrunk, this means less trouble from them despite the most troubling parts still being alive such as Mechajaw and Zionthor himself. Regardless, Nicole threatens them not to enter the planet again considering how well-guarded the earth is, nothing happens without anyone knowing about it. And so, the aliens agree, making their way back to their ship on foot despite being stunned. Now the trio is to make their way back to the base, where Zammy will get a good telling-off. The legion then returns to the legion's building, except for Mike who goes to see Retron, trying to have a chat about the current status quo.Mike for ages has been trying to get their friendship back on track, but Retron is keen to keep Mike out of the way, one part of his history he doesn’t want to repeat. Retron has struggled to forgive Mike for making Earth more of a target for aliens, leading to Retron’s injuries. Mike nearly has one more attempt to mend their friendship as Mike is about to tell Retron some bad news, but Retron shows that he is not interested in Mike anymore, even getting to a point where Retron will hurt Mike if Mike and the legion step over the line again. Mike does get upset from this and decides to make his way back to the legion, even stating that he too will stop Retron if he steps over a line of his own as well. But for now, they will try and leave each other alone, even recently the president has been more in favour of Retron compared to Mike. In the legion building itself, both Nicole and Zammy are shouting down each other's throats, even leading to a couple of brawls between them which Mike has to break up. Before Mike breaks it up, Nicole tries to fight Zammy up close, power isn’t everything, taking him down, and trying to teach Zammy that power isn’t everything. Zammy at first tries to use martial arts to counter Nicole’s attacks but Nicole is more experienced in that regard, so Zammy forms cubes to push Nicole away. Both even form their long-range weapons with stun-based projectiles, and this is where Mike stops this fight. Once the lose access to their weapons from Zammy’s zapping alongside losing their explosive, they all fly off individually, they only fly when moving from one planet to the next to preserve their limited fuel. But when the fight ended, he reminded them both that they were in the same boat regardless, and they also needed to get ready for a base meeting. What is this base meeting? Retron is placed in a slightly higher position in Earth’s security considering the past failure of the legion. He is enabled by the president to have a shot at leading the protection of the earth, enabling him to generate his defences of turrets and drones. These turrets are dark green, and they have a cuboid body with a cube top, with a singular pointing able to point in all directions, as part of one of the cube’s faces. With dark green somewhat being the main colour for netro (despite varying on what kind of netro it is), even the drones of made up of this too, with small bodies, their analysing screen at the front with long wings ending with two chunkier parts to aid the flight, with a flatter square engine at the back. This is a dream for him that is coming true, he not only explains this to everyone but also states that the production for them has started immediately, which shocks everyone. He even explains despite some minor flaws such as these defences being all mechanical and on codes, they can be ready whenever. With no need for breaks, no weaknesses from emotion, no conflicting choices or methods and all adaptable to take down any threat big or small. Retron thinks he needs a great netro fist to strike anything and is not keen on the variety of methods which the legion possesses, and yes netro is alien but Retron thinks he can make it into an earth tool. Retron even goes as far as stating that the legion will be side-lined to the point of not existing because of how cool these defences will be, even another weapon, the sphere striker, which can strike planets from afar. This would also mean no servicemen considering they will be made inferior, so not everyone is on board with this new idea, even made worse by the fact that it's netro being morphed, something which Dyon recommended not to be the case considering the many consequences. Back at the base, Zammy, Nicole and Mike have a more in-depth look at Retron's plans, they cannot be undermined anymore, they need to do some good, and if they are unwanted on earth. Even though other planets are likely to be unsure of the legion from what has happened then they'll still find a way to aid peace such as taking down either Mechajaw or Zionthor, mainly the former to get Pod back in the team again, or at least have them both on the same wavelength. The legion then has another idea, before leaving the planet (with the help of Zammy's clever hacking to avoid atmospheric sensing from Earth's base, Retron has collected Dyon, so the legion thought to get Dyon back on track to help the legion with their next step, and so a heist is planned. As Nicole has been watching Zammy with his cubes for ages, Nicole encourages Zammy to be the one to get Dyon back once they are in a secure location, and once Dyon is awake. Compared to the time they had to fight Torrid, Zammy has messed around with his cubes to the point where he is more able to use his cubes. But just in case, the legion shall gather a spare star which can be taken beforehand in the base’s weapon-generating area where the stars are starting to be collected from stars. There is more planned such as using Nicole’s four-by-four to get the legion to the base and then to the spare area, under the radar. The legion’s current objective is to bring Dyon back and start to gain the trust of the earth again, and with Dyon back. He can help many situations around the earth and start catching up with other planets too whilst Zammy and Nicole mainly go for Mechajaw or Zionthor, the legion thinks that by making the universe safe and resuming space travel, it will impress the public then instead of trying to please the public by diminishing needless crimes, no earthling wants to see them. Once Earth trusts the legion again, perhaps they can go up to the stars again, probably solving crime under the radar at first as well before Earth starts to see a proper difference. Finally, there are different roles everyone has like Zammy using his hacking skills to decrease any security alarms and unlock the device, which is keeping Dyon in one spot. Nicole can keep watch from all angles, making sure no servicemen are around and Mike can act as another pair of eyes as well as looking at various camera feeds in his car, also acting as a quick getaway vehicle. The legion has struggled to get hold of Dyon before because of how many missions have been thrown at them, with the higher-ups getting the legion to be as busy as possible so that the legion doesn’t get tempted to leave Earth as well as keeping them away from bigger responsibilities even within the earth.
~Chapter 3 – What Pod is up to
We now see Pod, alone, coming out of an overnight hotel, and walking around the outside of the world, Garap, surrounded by many vehicles, an airport planet in a nutshell. Pod is looking for a vehicle himself, where he can find the morfils after Opasnost helped drop Pod off, it's only been a few days after the events of Torrid after all. Pod has an eye on a good vehicle, a caravan one where he can sleep while he makes his way, the ship being named the Caravani. The Caravani was mainly grey, with a front windscreen with two windows around the back of the sides of the vehicle. The are also small parts that aid the steering as it goes through any air, those are blue just like the back engine. Thanks to some tips from Opasnost, Pod does make himself more fearsome, and so manages to talk his way to get the ship from the salesmen, a salesman who is alike a green lobster, hunched over, half of Pod’s height, armed with pincers and a hard scaled back. Pod provides ice as payment once again, the payment that doesn't work but can melt infinitely which means an unlimited water source. The salesman did let this pass, not only was he threatened but having unlimited water would be anyone’s wish. Pod recently has covered himself in ice armour, hiding all his features, so no one recognises him. This armour was formed via his powers, and he can remove any part by melting it which he will do if important. So, Pod gets himself the ship and off he goes, sitting in silence, letting the ship fly via autopilot, making him wonder about the future. He doesn’t miss the legion, but he is still sad about Arvin, not to mention he wishes for some advice from Mike. But Pod believes that the morfils need to be sorted out now, without any help, he has an element after all, and thanks to his practice, he thinks he will be able to have the upper hand. While the trust between him and the legion isn’t as low compared to when Pod first arrived on earth, it is more of a case of Pod using his initiative, knowing the legion may helping against other situations, and he does debate whether he should come back to the legion or not. With that view, he then starts to prepare himself, putting on a mindset where he will be showing no mercy to any morfils, especially Mechajaw, both nervous and keen to fight.
~Chapter 4 – Heist
It is later in the day, and the legion is all in Nicole’s four-by-four. When notifying the base of their whereabouts, they are on a crime watch when they are going to steal Dyon's body from the base. The four-by-four has arrived at the base, parked near some trees, with no lighting in sight coming from them. With the servicemen spread across the earth if not stretched across with the legion having no missions given to them, this means the base isn’t too populated. Nicole and Mike assign the roles between them and Zammy. Mike is to stay in the car with multiple camera footages projecting from his collabtor alongside getting up the map of the base and its many floors. Zammy is sent to the room where Dyon is, and Dyon is bonded in a machine where Dyon is kept in one spot, almost caged up and with magnetic forces keeping him still. Zammy is given the computers to help shut this down while also shutting down any alarms temporarily, and thanks to Zammy and Mike, any CCTV is also overlapped to make the legion invisible. Zammy is to go to this room via the sewers, which Zammy isn’t impressed with but at least his shapeshifting suit can prevent him from being touched by anything dodgy underground. While Zammy makes his way through the sewers with one of the large drains opened, Zammy jumps up and starts walking through, using his analytical glasses to figure out where the room is. Nicole at first was going to stay in the car with Mike, keeping an eye on the base from the car while Mike had his head down, but Mike advised her to sneak around to get better angles of outside the base, areas which the CCTV may not be able to capture. Nicole at first is disappointed, after spending time with the legion for so long, she wants to spend more time with Mike considering how much of her life has been tainted. While Mike understands how Nicole feels, Nicole needs to do something more than be a help to Mike, she needs to use more of her power, sneaking around instead of sitting in a car. Nicole in some anger ends up getting out of the car and despite the anger, she keeps out for anything suspicious while also keeping track of where Zammy is at as she uses her collabtor. Later, Zammy reaches the room, and goes through the flooring, notifying both Nicole and Mike while also seeing that the CCTV plan is working. As Nicole was sneaking around, she thought to take the chance to fetch a star from a nearby area, seeing it through a window, a room full of collected stars ready to be used. As the room isn’t open yet, Nicole decides to unlock the window from the outside, quickly go through the room, fetch a star and quickly exit the room, hiding in nearby vegetation next to the base. She puts the star in her waist bag and keeps a lookout. Meanwhile, Zammy sees Dyon, shut down and stuck within a machine, he finds the right machine, and Zammy needs to carefully shut down each part of the machine like the bars and the magnetic generators. Even Zammy analyses Dyon and sees that Dyon’s weight is low, making him easy to transport which Zammy will perform thanks to using his many cubes to move Dyon around through the sewers. Even Zammy makes a quick joke about cleaning both his suit and Dyon once the mission is done, Even Zammy forms some cubes to start getting rid of all the filth from him and Dyon. But as Zammy starts to make his way, Mike gets the boot button ready, and Nicole is near the drain, except, there is one serviceman who is about to walk to the area. Nicole needs to bring him down before he finds out what is going on, but attacking a serviceman will trigger another type of alarm, no one is allowed to attack a serviceman, and the suit will account for any kind of force regardless of the body part. So Nicole has an idea to ambush before the servicemen see the car. And so Nicole is lying down on the floor, Zammy is told to stop moving and even hack into the serviceman’s alarms so that Nicole can attack without triggering any alarms. Nicole then gets hold of the servicemen from behind and stuns them servicemen using her laser dagger, knocking out the servicemen to her disappointment. And now they all rush into the car, Nicole goes to the front passenger seat and Zammy opens the drain using his cube abilities. He then transports Dyon inside the boot with the bunch of cubes and then Zammy gets himself out too, then gets into the passenger seats, enabling Mike to drive off once the boot is closed.
~Chapter 5 – Pod's new home
In the meantime, Pod has made it to the planet of his race, and the world is still the same, mainly a blue land, full of streams and massive bubbles in the air, full of water which defines gravity. Pod still remembers what the previous morfil world was like, remembering seeing it within the green ape’s GPS technology, while also finding out that the morfils are inhabiting another world but one that is slightly hidden due to being closer to underspace which the GPS has not fully explored. Pod is somewhat amazed by the world, wishing it was his instead of the morfils, and he prefers it more so than the ruin-like world which does give him a lot of rough memories of when he used to be messed around by Mechajaw. As Pod slowly walks through the area, he is quickly encountered by some morfils, the same ones who helped Mechajaw with the obsidian swapping. Now, the morfils are shocked to see another morfil but a slightly different one. No thanks to Torrid's influence, Pod thinks that he should be the only morfil alive. He fights the morfils, but the morfils once they aim to beat up Pod will take him to Mechajaw, to see if Pod is of any interest to Mechajaw. And so a fight begins, and Pod hasn't seen too many changes in the morfil's fighting style, enabling Pod to counter the morfils well so far, but without realising, Pod has been trying to forget about the legion at a point where he has focused on his fighting style without as much acknowledgement of what he has learnt from the legion in terms of additional fighting moves, putting Pod at a disadvantage. But Pod having the trident does give him some advantage, using trident his to burn the morfils in any way if they get too close, freezing any morfils and using them as platforms alongside water to try and wash any morfils away. Thanks to the communication spell, more morfils start coming, this Mechajaw sees, figuring that it is an intruder, uses the communication spell to demand that this intruder comes to him. Pod is now fighting a whole crowd of morfils, and it is much harder for him, while he had the intent to kill some morfils, he never had the chance to deliver any killing blows. But a morfil is already hard to fight, and the morfil's skin is already hard, with Pod wearing his ice armour for his protection and with the morfils wearing netro plating armour around them, which is the same material for their mace weapons too. While Pod has done his best to avoid the sonic punches or even countering morfils to get them to hit each other, Pod has been hit by not only a few kicks and punches but also the maces a couple of times too, really bruising him. But he keeps at it, making the power of ice, fire and water go wild Pod at first was able to fight off many morfils, but then does not only stop when he sees Clam, a new morfil, new to the conflict, defined by some scars on his fin, and Pod sees that Clam is reluctant, certainly different from other morfils, but in the end, Pod is overpowered by multiple morfils, more than twenty if you will, beaten up, and dragged to where Mechajaw is at.
~Chapter 6 – Waking up
Back on earth, an hour after the heist, Retron sees the defences getting released into the open world, and the production of the defences is getting quicker at a point where the newly collected stars are in need. However, some servicemen take the knocked-out servicemen to Retron, someone who is waking up after being stunned. After being shocked by this, Retron considers this being the legion, wondering where they are, and even other servicemen after checking the room where Dyon is supposed to be a report that Dyon’s body is missing. So Retron orders a search party to find both the legion and Dyon, already having ideas where the legion could be, somewhere baron. The legion has reached a baron area, and they need to bring back Dyon as soon as possible, and then generate a new craft (or a new Awesome Atone) up into space, they have an idea to go to the titanrans. Thanks to prior research using the GPS which they have recorded the location of elsewhere, they know where to go, even if it's a long way with the use of light speed. The titanrans might be the race who would be the keenest to see the legion compared to other races. As they reach their destination, they manage to get Dyon out of the vehicle, Nicole and Mike start to get rattled by Zammy again, telling Zammy to be quiet, telling Zammy that yes getting Dyon was risky and it could make them more like enemies but the universe does need Dyon. Zammy cannot reach the heights of Dyon, Dyon, after all, is equivalent to the legion combined, but when will the legion become united? Zammy’s new obsession with power is making Zammy disagreeable with anyone else. Regardless, the legion has Dyon prepared, and thanks to Zammy’s extra familiarity with his power of cubes, he can get Dyon out of his power-off mode compared to when he was first introduced to his power. Dyon has woken up, but it looks like the goal to make Torrid hostile somehow works because Dyon cannot remember anything, he looks blank, and this worries the lot. Even Dyon starts to see that Zammy's suit is slowly shifting, making Zammy panic and zaps Dyon before Nicole can get to Zammy in time. With Dyon receiving the blast, he then becomes hostile, slowly summoning his machine guns, Nicole then pushes Zammy aside to summon her shield to counter the incoming fire from Dyon’s machine guns and laser eyes. Both Nicole and Mike try and reason with Dyon, to which Dyon does try and listen considering they have shown no sign of attacking, even seeing that Zammy is full of fear, and so for a moment, all is calm, especially as Nicole holds up a star they have from the heist. They have an idea to move to another area considering the sound of machine guns that was done earlier and then give Dyon time to get his memory back, but according to Zammy’s sunglasses, it shouldn’t take too long for Dyon to fully reboot, but even then, they have to try and jog Dyon’s memory regardless. This plan however cuts short when Retron’s sniper hits Dyon from afar, and this is where both Dyon and the legion see from afar that the servicemen are trying to search from the legion. While those around the land are unseen, the servicemen crafts are in the air, and they go and spot the legion as the legion tries and hide except Dyon who is standing there despite the legion trying to budge him to hide, staring at the sky, wondering who to trust. The servicemen crafts then start shooting stun lasers at those below as Retron ordered, but Dyon gains a few hits, making him attack the crafts above. Retron is updated that while the legion is trying to get away, Dyon is uncharacteristically malicious, destroying any servicemen firing at Dyon, in the crafts, the cars, the tanks, the boats or even on foot. Even the netro defences so far assist, actually creating damaging hits against Dyon, not to mention Retron at first gets everyone to fire fatal lasers at Dyon, but eventually tells all servicemen to stand down, letting the netro turrets and drones make their move against Dyon considering he had already killed a good few servicemen so far. But that doesn’t stop Dyon from attacking multiple servicemen whether he uses his long-range weapons or up-close attacks like punches or charging using his body weight. The legion watches this, hiding well as well as Dyon distracting everyone, but as a chance to redeem themselves, the legion has an idea to stop Dyon from attacking anymore, offering the star which will heal the hits Dyon has gained so far, they need to get Dyon’s attention which won’t be easy. As all of this happens, the town of Playmo, starts to gain damage, drones are crashing into the ground, car crashes are happening and some shots are getting fired at the town, making Retron already order the servicemen to try and protect the public from Dyon. One shot of the turret does hit Dyon’s back, making him fall onto one of the town’s roads. This makes the public fearful, Dyon may have helped Earth before with only a few people able to see Dyon up close as Dyon does try and make time for others despite being busy helping other planets, but even the public sees that something is not right with Dyon. With the netro defences firing at Dyon while being careful of the public, this makes Dyon try and attack the defences, but he is less mindful of the land around him and the public, causing more damage, especially added when Dyon starts to bring turrets down and drones out of the way. Retron is not only worried about the people and annoyed with Dyon but he does get worried that his defences aren’t working, but he chalks it up by thinking that this would be better if there were way more of the defences. Retron all this time has kept trying to fire at Dyon, which Dyon has noticed, and with defences bothering him, he goes to find Retron. Now, Retron is face to face with Dyon, having his sniper ready, a sniper amped up by netro, but Mike tries to calm down this situation by getting Retron out of the way. Dyon then goes from damaging some of the defences to then endangering citizens, getting hit by a car, and then chucking the car away, now nowhere is safe. Thanks to the conversation earlier, Zammy decides to control his power more as he tries to reason with Dyon with the other star, and Nicole provides Zammy with the star while Nicole and Mike are cornered by aiming servicemen, Zammy is offering to heal Dyon, and Zammy tries to fill Dyon with many memories with the legion. It starts to work, Dyon gains the star from Zammy, and this does make Dyon all better, but then he zooms from one legion member to the next and zooms away on foot quickly, knowing that the legion is in deep trouble, Retron is keen to arrest them, and so sends a search party. Even Retron secretly orders the servicemen to kill the legion no matter what, and he will be gaslighting the likes of the president that it had to be done for the servicemen’s safety. Finally, there is the aftermath, most of the turrets and drones are wrecked, and while there will be more being released, the others need instant repair. Some greenery is harmed (if it wasn’t bad enough already that it has been squandered by Torrid’s blocks, which all have to be broken down and placed elsewhere for research). Plus the town has a few injured people, some broken roads and even some roads and buildings have been broken down too. Despite Torrid’s attack being ages ago, seeing events like this makes people feel like they are in danger all the time, never knowing who can protect them, and not even having any confidence in the servicemen nor Retron, which bothers them too. Retron will try anything to make everyone trust him, and sadly the servicemen have the help with a mess which the legion has made, mainly because the legion has to go from one mission to the next. This means the legion got all the fun, and there would need to be more netro inventions like a road cleaner or perhaps a type of drone that can shield, but the turrets and drones need their placed perimeter first, new ideas require their own time and pipeline, and the turrets and drones were already in production and agreed on by the president and more.
~Chapter 7 – Pod’s catching up
Back at the morfil planet, Pod wakes up in a cell, wondering what is about to happen. But as he wonders, Pod has a good look outside of his cell window, well barred up, using netro, but even then, his arms are chained up at a point where he is stuck to a single spot, no touching the walls or even the floor. But even then, it has been so long since he last saw his race, and not much has changed, they are one of those races which like to practise combat often. They still possess the same fighting style as Pod used to start with before the legion gave him extra tips. Aside from their abilities, these morfils sometimes like to relax, swimming through the rivers or the massive chunks of water in the air, they often play board games made up of stones. They also enjoy working together to build stone shelters for new morfils and they also focus on getting new morfils to enter the new world. The more pro-Mechajaw morfils get their new morfils to be as vicious as possible whilst the kinder morfils try and get them to have an open mind, but this often leads to clashing. Even Pod managed to capture a conversation about the fact that if Mechajaw was to be taken over, then a morfil has to let Mechajaw know that a morfil wants to be a leader. So Mechajaw will allow a challenge to fight him, but no wonder not many morfils ask for this role because Mechajaw has always beaten all of the morfils that have wanted to challenge him using the arena. Nowhere days the arena has been used for practice, and even Mechajaw doesn’t recommend this request because he is planning to be the leader indefinitely, he mainly takes these challenges to show the other morfils who are boss. The arena is a large circle surrounded by waterfalls with clumps of rock from place to place, even a lot of spare water for the morfils to crowd around to watch the arena, the arena is also grey and blue with a morfil silhouette painted all over it. To add to that, Mechajaw’s presence is enough to stop some of the morfil’s fun, any misbehaving or hints of mind evolution. Mechajaw would chuck in a cell and mind warp him via mind-altering technology which is part of Mechajaw’s technological arms, making a morfil a creature devoid of little emotion. Back in the day, Pod’s mind was so blank that he couldn’t see that he was causing violence and not knowing other morfils were under the same lid as him. But as Pod sees, one morfil fails to work properly in the eyes of Mechajaw, gets other morfils to take a ‘broken’ morfil to the planet of the vuraniks, with Pod not knowing what happens on that planet if unwanted morfils are taken there. Pod also sees that the ships used by the morfils haven’t changed, made up of a mixture of metals, strong but not as strong as netro. Mechajaw can only get very little because of the accessibility and still trying to find ways to use netro in various ways. These ships were also made by the same race that helped make the titanran’s only ship, and neither race knows they have the same ship maker. These ships (Orca Flyers) can only fit six or more morfils, but there are multiple, allowing any morfils to swarm a planet compared to running on one massive ship. These ships are like a caravan with a shorter roof width, made up of blue, white and black, and even have a metallic morfil face at the front to evocate fear towards any public. But then, Mechajaw slowly goes to Pod, both have not seen each other in a very long time, about fifty or more years, these creatures do have a long life after all. Mechajaw is curious but Pod is eager to rip him apart, as they catch up, the emotions don't change, even Mechajaw knowing that Pod is a different kind of morfil, actually, one that was specially created to absorb one element, Mechajaw would like to get rid of Pod. And so, the morfils do have a massive fighting sport as practice, and later, they will do this again, but with Pod acting as a punching bag, and so Mechajaw gets his morfils to get everything sorted. Mechajaw also saw his morfils ravaging through the ship Pod arrived in, and this is where the morfils came across the green ape’s GPS technology. Pod left it there because he thought he might lose the technology more likely when fighting the morfils compared to where he attempted to hide the ship, knowing that the morfils would be more interested in him. Pod also hid his ship in a rockier area around the edge of the land, in an attempt to hide it. Mechajaw has a look at the GPS, seeing that it is very easy to use, even finding out where the titanrans are, one of the morfil’s biggest foes. Considering what Zionthor and others at the Deepa fortress think of the titanrans, seeing them as threatening no thanks to their connection to Livengor alongside other capabilities. What none of the Deepa fortress's lot yet don’t know is that the titanrans now have Livengor, they thought that Earth may still have two of the elements. When Ekron was last in Nahashtu, he never heard anything about the elements, and from trying to contact and wait for the others to arrive, he only heard certain information like who the legion and titanrans were despite the disguises. Mechajaw knows the titanrans also need to be wiped off the map, and so on top of everything else, Mechajaw sends other morfils to the titanrans, providing the location. Even Pod hears this, remembering who the titanrans were, slightly scared that another race might be close to suffering on a humongous level. Even Mechajaw doesn’t like the titanrans because that race is not only smart but they may bring more smart races back into the universe. Yes, the titanrans may bring back other wildlife too but Mechajaw has thought of ways to do it himself if he ever gets hold of livengor. But that is a thought for the distant future because he isn’t always sure about what Zionthor will be planning. Mechajaw also thinks that the titanrans are also trying to play God, taking advantage of a race which also makes Mechajaw itch with annoyance. Mechajaw encourages some morfils to get going with the invasion towards the titanrans, some of the morfils are keen, some are reluctant and the rest want to watch the arena including Clam. As this happens, Mechajaw gets other morfils to drag Pod to the fighting arena, now that is it prepared, Pod gets plunged to the centre of the area. A flat stone land with some occasional platforms surrounded by waterfalls, a crowd of morfils within the water. With Mechajaw sitting on his special chair, he introduces Pod to the rest of the morfils as the morfils all spread the word about the upcoming fight via the communication spell, making many morfils excited to see other morfils try and fight one-of-a-kind. Mechajaw won’t be fighting here, similar to Zionthor where he often likes his army to do the work to save himself. After all, Mechajaw is running on his last heat-emitting obsidian, so quick activity can make the obsidian not last as long, not to mention Mechajaw cannot afford any significant damage towards himself, he is a machine after all. The jawsharps earlier were at least simple, weren’t very damaging towards Mechajaw and he was near areas where he might have got more obsidian but couldn’t. But he will fight Pod if the morfils fail, and also wants to be familiar with what Pod’s fighting style is like wondering how to counter him later. All the morfils from the crowd are given the option of whether they want to fight Pod or not (acting as the crowd for this sport), and there is plenty that is keen and starts running up to Pod from all angles. As the morfils try and fight Pod, Pod is countering the morfils in many different ways such as remembering Dyon’s swift dodging moves while quickly moving punches or kicks aside as a point where a morfil could overthrow their momentum or end up spinning. As well as Nicole’s taking down moves such as swinging someone over his shoulder, and landing hard on the ground. It is moves like this one which not only make Pod appealing to many morfils but they didn’t know that there is more to learn about martial arts. The average morfil martial arts mainly consist of punches and basic blocks, many types, but the legion will add to this such as the many ways Nicole, Dyon and others form their punches and kicks, not to mention her taking down methods which Pod had used a couple of times. He even performs a spinning kick which he also learnt from Nicole who learnt it from Mike, wowing the morfils. Even Opasnost and Pod gave each other some fighting tips such as when Pod formed an ice baton which carries over the knowledge of duel blade fighting, with the trident in the other hand.Pod at first was blocking out these tips from the legion as he thought he was still good enough with his fighting style, not thinking of the legion helps him move on, trying to have his own life as well as forgetting about Arvin who was his first proper friend. But as he sees, performing everything else he has learned outside of his morfils skills has proven to be worthy, showing that he has become more of himself thanks to others, not everyone forms an identity on their own. Another reason Pod was able to counter the morfils is that he remembers that these morfils use their blunt weapons alongside their sonic punches (punches that are charged up with energy and can release a burst of energy when hitting anything). So Pod counters both moves by hitting them away, moving them towards the ground or redirecting them to hit other morfils. Finally, the trident is a very handy tool against the morfil’s hammer-like weapons which are often referred to as Spammers, able to use the trident to steer the weapon away.Pod mainly uses the trident for whacking, no need to harm the morfils too much after Pod saw these morfils as beings who do live their lives, Perhaps not all of them are always keen on this planet-invading nonsense. Finally, even his Vibre powers he does use wisely, only using fire to make a morfil back off to give Pod an advantage, but he uses ice and water to enable him to slide from place to place, to push morfils back, put morfils into ice blocks for Pod to get free hits, pushing morfils away via gushing water from his hands, making the floor slippery via ice to misbalance morfils. He creates airborne water for Pod to swim in as he gains speed boosts, higher ground or for dodging, creating shapeshifting ice which knocks morfils back, using fire for minor burns or to make morfils step back as well as creating gushes of water to send morfils upwards, no morfils are killed but a lot of them are badly hurt. This does make Pod a little detestable in the eyes of some, but Pod does later regret this as he starts to see through the morfils, some seem unhappy with their life. Over time, Pod does go easy on the rest despite taking them down well, all this anti-morfil behaviour drops further, especially after seeing what they can be like without Mechajaw’s influence. What Pod didn’t realise however is that some of the Vibre abilities are coming from his body rather than the trident, making him see that his body is starting to become a source of Vibre. There must be something in his genetic code that enables him to absorb an element slowly over time, It does make him wonder how useful the trident is, but he does feel more in control of the element, feeling like he can do more. No morfil has ever seen an element in action, making Pod even more inspiring to some but to others, it can make him a threat to morfil kind. Even Mechajaw watches all of this in worry, seeing how far Pod has come, making him wonder what he could do against Pod later. He is not keen on Pod, possibly seeing Pod as a threat against him, Who knows yet who is more powerful than the others, especially as the trident’s power seems familiar. Mechajaw also remembers Pod being one of his assisting morfils, mindless and pushed around like the others, the only thing different about Pod at the time was the colour, he was blue, not grey like an average morfil. As the fight ends, the morfils either give in or surrender and after some thought, Pod does show mercy, meaning he won the fight, intriguing morfils, compared to Mechajaw who is far more animalistic and often keen to throw his weight around for the sake of it while Pod seems to use his punches in a more calculating way. Mechajaw uses the same morfils to drag Pod off the arena and to his cell, Pod can understand that he has somewhat won this round, and recons he will be fighting Mechajaw next which will be exciting. The morfils not only talk about one ongoing mission to go to the titanran planet now they have access to GPS technology, but another topic would be who is better, Pod or Mechajaw. A good few morfils are won over, thinking that Pod (if he is to be the next leader), more martial arts could be shared. He could be someone who is far more approachable, perhaps someone who can provide other knowledge that Mechajaw cannot, especially as Pod has his powers. Some morfils have been so impressed by Pod’s other fighting moves at a point where some of them try and practise the feats Pod performs, something which will help with practice. Those who still think of Mechajaw as the definitive leader believe that none of them knows what Pod’s intentions are, and if he possesses a lot of skills and abilities that no other morfil has, then Pod could be a threat. Not to mention Mechajaw has formed a culture, making the morfils strong and fierce (as they think Pod could be too timid), the way both their planets were represented and what they all do together. Pod could change that for the worse, Pod could stop the invasion of planets which is a life that provides all these morfils purpose and something which a lot of them do enjoy thanks to their sheer power. Not to mention that some of these morfils still like the idea of making the universe wildlife only, thinking it could be a good path to peace, considering they have witnessed consequences caused by intelligent foes. Some of these morfils end up fighting each other, some beating up between them once they divide but the likes of Clam (who is one of the biggest fans of Pod) do break it up, getting them to focus on either the upcoming titanran mission or see who could win the next fight, Pod, or Mechajaw. Pod is now locked up, and Mechajaw will see Pod later once he organises the invasion of the titanran planet. Pod watches as he collects and even forces some morfils to get going, seeing that some morfils are reluctant to fight creatures some have never fought before, the titanrans, making Pod see that it’s not the whole race that is the problem. It is Mechajaw, the wrong driving force for this whole race, making Pod want to fight Mechajaw and no other morfil, and once he wins, he will lead his own life of peace and perhaps find Zionthor himself, he has no interest in leading the morfils, they should have their freedom as he has.
~Chapter 8 – The jungle
Later in the day on earth, the legion is going through a jungle, sitting in hiding, making everyone worried. They too feel sore and hungry, making them more eager to go and see the titanrans. Meanwhile, Dyon is starting to sense more of his surroundings and start finding himself, but he also finds out he has no flight, making him unable to help the many planets that could do with his help. The flight being unavailable for now was caused by shutting himself off, he requires time to fully boot up after turning himself off. The legion wonders about his lack of flight, and once Dyon provides the answer, they all agree that Dyon can stick with the legion, Dyon cannot help any planets yet. Dyon also apologises for all the havoc done to them, and he even sends a message to the president digitally to apologise for the havoc. Dyon describes the situation earlier as if someone else had control of him, a small part of him knew none of this was right nor in his control. Dyon is one of the wisest beings around, he can be trusted with the power he has, and it goes to show what he might have been used for if Torrid got his way. Every time they hear Torrid, it makes their stomach drop, knowing what he has done to the legion, something which they can all share despite the issues. However, the surroundings that Dyon can sense consist of some servicemen discovering the legion, and so the servicemen start firing at the legion. Each legion member uses cover while firing their projectiles back, projectiles which will only stun the servicemen, but the servicemen do advance to try and arrest them sooner, except they need to shoot Dyon way more to bring him down. The legion also sees that the servicemen are using fatal lasers, confusing the legion, and making them think that this is Retron’s idea, they have to be careful. As the servicemen try and go up to the legion, the legion performs a collection of martial arts which is enough to take down a serviceman but without killing them. Nicole tries to fight alongside Mike but Mike tells Nicole to provide each other space, Nicole gets bothered by this, she nearly gets shot by a serviceman, she dodges it just in time and ends up fighting on her own while Mike goes to try and get nearer to Zammy. Zammy is the most over the top in this fight, zapping the servicemen to no end, even using a form of lightning that is too strong. Dyon encourages Zammy to lower the use of his power, comparatively, Dyon uses none of his weapons, only using his strength to disarm the servicemen, throw any of them or take them down carefully. Yes, the servicemen are aiming to kill but Earth and humankind have been through enough, there is no need to kill them. Killing them would make things far more complicated than killing other aliens, especially when the Earth has one of the strictest collections of laws. This is where Mike tells Zammy to start forming a vehicle, and Zammy decides to form yet another Awesome Atone considering how familiar he is with his ship. He uses his cube abilities to start forming the craft while Dyon defends Zammy, with Mike and Nicole fighting the servicemen on their own, allowing both of them to be more focused. Mike however gets a painful bodily strain, making him kneel, and Nicole tries to get him up, but thankfully, Zammy has completed the craft and starts it up. He even Dyon decides to use his machine guns lightly to scare the servicemen away, allowing Mike and Nicole to get onto the craft, followed by Dyon as the Awesome Atone starts rising from the ground, and zooms away as the servicemen try and fire at a craft which Zammy can instantly repair using his cube powers. Mike is feeling better, saying it was a muscle thing and they act on their plan to go and see the titanrans. Not to mention they all criticise Zammy for being the most harmful during the fight, and Zammy acted this way because of how against the legion the servicemen have become and taking his anger on others. He may have become more independent but he still feels like he can't rely on others at the same time, feeling angry towards everyone. After Zammy explains this, Nicole nearly becomes frustrated but Mike tells Nicole to calm down, even then, Nicole wonders why Mike is letting go of Nicole, confusing Nicole in a stressful manner. Dyon then helps calm the situation by stating that they can forget about the earth for now and enjoy being with the titanrans considering how they will be more welcoming, therefore making everyone happier, which makes everyone less stressed and calm, and so everyone sits in silence. Nicole starts sleeping, Dyon analyses the universe and even Mike looks back on some of his old memories of him with the legion and even past times when he was much younger with the president and Retron, being the top heroes in his time. Mike looks through these via his collabtor, with all of his photos being digitised. But as this journey gets going, Dyon senses something in Mike that seems concerning, but if the titanrans can heal, then they will all be fine from the prior two fights. Going back to Retron, he got his servicemen to hunt the legion no matter what, even trying and find them out of space via vehicles or satellite activity (which will not be made easy considering Zammy has helped ghost all their collabtors and even Dyon himself). Also not knowing that the legion has already left Earth, something which Retron prefers, makes him keener to use the planet striking weapon, not bothered what planet he will strike. When the president and other politicians later ask what will be done with the legion Retron lies to them saying that they will be arrested if they come back to earth, not knowing Retron was keen to kill the legion. He had come up with the idea of why the legion had been killed by the planet strike, Retron can say that it was to prevent another earth-threatening threat. Both the servicemen as well as the president with their politicians have been sharing their thoughts about the legion, both are mixed, some agree with Retron but others believe that the legion can only do their best against significant threats. They are also not far from humans after all, but some servicemen have been anxious that they are back in the forefront of security again, no legion means more pressure on them. Most servicemen are even worried about losing their jobs to the new Retron defences, something which the president and politicians consider even if the defences sound like a good improvement, the legion still has the variety and is even able to leave Earth which the new drones cannot do. So at the moment, making any space threat not reach the Earth next time depends on what the threat is. Even some from Earth and even other planets used to like the merchandise and what the legion did for culture, but that diminishing does make the Earth go into a time of insecurity, worried about the Earth’s state with no icons to stand by. There is Retron but he is old and has some questionable motives, the legion is more flexible with what actions they do for others. Whenever Retron’s age is mentioned, he does get triggered, thinking that age shouldn’t be an excuse. Retron compares himself to the likes of Pod who is way older than him, so Retron won’t be having a retirement anytime soon.
~Chapter 9 – The Titanran planet
The titanran planet, Chronocope, is a fascinating one, like any heard of any animal, they like to climb, chill in water, have fun with their young, practise fighting (whether via fists or chronokenesis), feed on various vegetation and most unique of all, working on their cloning of extinct races. The last part which has now fast-tracked well thanks to using Livengor as a source, not just the speed of the process but even able to bring back more races from extinction. Their world is also beautiful; possessing many forms of vegetation, there are mainly many large trees and even some rocks and water here and there, but it is mainly green, and from the trees, the sunlight can be minimal, but the planet is still warm, and there is lime green glowing now and again thanks to Livengor being tied to the planet. Just like races possessing certain traits to the elements or having more connection to the elements than others, even worlds have more connections to the elements than others too. Thanks to both the legion and Dyon, there have been no attacks towards the planet despite possessing an element, but they will always be prepared, with some titanrans still on edge more than others. Back on the Awesome Atone, and the titanran planet is not far, the Awesome Atone lands on the planet, and this does cause some alarming behaviour because the titanrans have never seen a ship coming to the planet for ages. The legion does exit the vehicle, and Carpo recognises the legion enough to calm down the titanrans around the vehicle. Seeing the legion's condition, Carpo offers them food and healing them is no problem, using their healing beds to heal the legion, is simply done by lying down as the vines around them expose a certain side of the life force. The legion can also eat at the same time, given a wide variety of fruits which have never existed on earth, not to mention getting cleaned around the titanran’s baths too, they have vegetation which works like soap. Some of the dirt from prior battles has been close to their minor injuries, making this cleaning a wise move. Even Zammy and his evolving suit are also fresher after going through a sewer twice. Thanks to the titanran's innovation with Livengor, the titanrans have managed to breach one of Livengor's secrets, the ability of quick healing, which is something you don't normally have the ability unless you have all the elements where you have all the capabilities. The titanrans have created 'healing beds' where you relax on them and let the energy heal you, and so far, no other device like this exists throughout the universe. This is also an innovation that is worth pitching to other planets once Zionthor is out of the way, even Zionthor would feel threatened by this. Not to mention these healing beds are still under trial, making sure they fully work before making them public. Regardless the legion is healed, and the legion is then fed some food, mainly special fruit, this special fruit is what is often sent to Nahashtu. Finally, titanran planet still has some blocks lying around from Torrid’s attacks like many other planets. Some races try to materialise from the blocks (from Torrid's attacks) despite the complex material but ultimately fail, others like titanrans throw it out of space to make room. As the legion are eating, Carpo asks while they are welcome to the titanran planet, why come to them? The legion then explains that Earth is nearly forbidding the legion and they are hoping to sort out the next big threat in the galaxy, even asking the titanrans for help. While this request goes ahead, Dyon is having a moment to himself, scanning around the universe, feeling bad about how much he has missed out. Letting billions down, no recovery after Torrid’s attacks, and he even takes the chance to look down on earth, seeing all the destruction he caused, adding to his conscience even if he’s all machine. Even while Dyon walks a few steps away from the legion, even Vondur who wonders about the whole situation while getting defensive decides to belittle Dyon. After all the titanrans have been helped by Dyon a couple of times, and nearly everyone knows he is a single-being army who often helps. But as the titanrans had another visit to Nashatu where no beings have seen Dyon in days, Vondur shares his disappointment, throwing words at him before Dyon can explain the situation, Mike supports Dyon by calming down Vondur, and Vondur decides to back off, exiting the cave, fed up of the legion already. Carpo however cannot help, the titanrans are already at high risk of being targeted by Zionthor, so they cannot get involved when they are also innovating Livengor for the future such as the healing mechanism. The legion does somewhat understand this, except Zammy though, he is tired of how much the team has shrunk. Before the legion leaves the planet, they are reminded about the titanran's goal to revive or repopulate many. There are so many races which should have their shine in the spotlight again such as Arrowacs, a race which are instantly wise from birth and who can protect one of the elements. Nicole does ask one more favour, thanks to keeping the sample of Arvin, Nicole offers it to the titanrans and they wish to bring back Arvin's race. Carpo will promise to bring back Arvin’s race despite many other races being prioritised. The legion has provided this gift, and then they all start to make their way...except one. Zammy keeps himself in the cove of the many extinct races, looking around in wonder. Nicole, Mike and Dyon get carried away as they make their way, not noticing Zammy until it's too late. Zammy then manages to see Livengor once more which is mainly sourcing all of the reviving races and more, seeing Livengor within another cove within an already big cove. Zammy has an idea to play with his power again by possibly fast-tracking the whole work so that all the races come back, but Vondur sees this and gets very annoyed to the point of throwing Zammy out of the cove’s exit. Zammy thought if the likes of Arrowacs would instantly be ready for action then other races could be too, making the legion bigger. Zammy also saw this as a chance to get an audience again, to be appreciated and listened to again, making himself more useful and powerful by resurrecting races. Finally, Zammy has missed Arvin, Pod, Opasnost and even Hailwolf at a point where he needs the attention to be replenished. The rest of the legion eventually spots this, never noticing Zammy was absent from the Awesome Atone, and so they rush to Zammy, stopping Vondur from hurting Zammy as Dyon physically gets Vondur away from Zammy. There was a small brawl after Zammy was thrown out of the cove such as Vondur using little vegetation to tie up Zammy, followed by beating up Zammy. Zammy’s shapeshifting suit enables Zammy to make repairs as he is getting whacked, avoiding bodily harm. Zammy then summons lightning from above, hitting Vondur, followed by Zammy forming a bigger blunt arm weapon to knock Vondur back, this is where Dyon stops the fight. The fight starts to calm down, and Zammy is given a good telling off from Nicole, telling him he cannot use a power of this magnitude, the titanrans are at least wise with Livengor. Zammy tries to justify his actions, which makes the others feel sorry for him a bit, but doing actions like these would have the opposite effect. Zammy imagines what it could have resulted in, to bring all those races back to extinction, making Zammy feel bad. However, Dyon, Mike and Carpo provide him with some care, whilst Nicole and Vondur remain cynical of him, Zammy is still cared for. As the argument ends on a bitter note, morfil ships start to come and are about to get rid of the titanrans. The titanrans prepare themselves, and the legion is to help too, if anything they have their tasks. Carpo gets the titanrans to unleash a collection of vegetation to keep the morfils in one spot and the legion is to fight whoever breaches beyond the battleground, guarding the cove full of innovations and even the children of the titanrans. Carpo is happy with what the legion is aiming to do, Vondur is too mainly because the legion is out of the way, but Carpo sees this as help. The titanrans and morfils are balanced enough, but when the legion fights them, they do struggle except for Dyon due to his powerful weaponry and strength. There are also small instances of the legion helping the titanrans which not only gets Vondur to respect the legion more but is a chance for the titanrans to see how good the legion is. This is also where Zammy starts to control his power more and show off less with it and Nicole does rely on Mike less too, realising she has more power than she realises. Plus, Zammy sees how wise the titanrans use their immense power of chronokenesis, using thick and large vines for platforms, aiding certain fights as well as defence. The titanrans also attack the morfils in various ways such as hitting the morfils hard in the face, making them fly back, as well as being able to throw morfils away alongside ground pounds which makes morfils lose their balance. The morfils also have their tricks like their great martial arts which help them counter any incoming attacks from the titanrans like punches or tail swings, and they are also quicker than titanrans, able to dodge bigger attacks more easily. A sonic punches from a morfil is one thing, which certainly bruises a titanran and makes them go flying, but two morfils punching a sonic lunch together creates a sound wave that knocks most titanrans off their feet. Even these titanran vines do other methods too such as swinging morfils away, pulling both arms to make a morfil more static as well as vines tangling or squeezing a morfil. Regarding the legion, they do many tricks, mainly firing at the morfils breaching the battle, as some want to find out more about the titanrans. Some morfils think the titanrans are hiding something whilst others are trying to find the young ones, but the legion lets none of this happen. As the legion fights these morfils, not only do they see that these morfils are different with their grey look, weapons and sonic punches, but the legion is also in disbelief that they are somewhat fighting many Pod’s. Speaking of the morfil’s weapon, even they have been useful for hitting the titanrans hard, to destroy any vines and the hooking features aid their defence, and even pulling hard on a rock whilst hooking gives them a speed boost. Zammy with a more controlled mindset still fires at waves of morfils using lightning which bounces from one foe to the next, he also forms one or two turrets closer to the battle which also aim for the morfils and fire lightning at them. The likes of Nicole are not only impressed with Zammy forming a turret but they are glad that Zammy is behaving. When some morfils get too close, Zammy and Dyon mainly sort them out, Dyon can hit morfils away into the crowd of them, and Zammy can stun them as he hits them. When Dyon is fighting up close, he is firing lasers along with Nicole and Mike, Mike has his drone too which fires at the morfil crowd, like a sentry gun, it can fire on its own and does it well. As the morfils struggle to reach for the drone, Nicole adds to the firing by firing a grenade launcher or a concussion now and again when certain titanrans are getting too close to danger. From the success of the fight, with no titanran deaths, the morfils leave, and the loss of numbers is too great, and so back on their morfil crafts, Orca Flyer’s but at least Mechajaw always spawns more morfils thanks to machinery, machinery which comes from his creator, well, the creator of Pod and the morfils too. The legion and the titanrans at this point are in space, travelling within a large titanran craft which is normally used to get there and back to Nahashtu, but now it will be used for a more serious mission. As they make their way, Dyon who always has spare collabtors on him when the legion reaches their golden age, then provides the titanrans with these collabtors (which are ghosted too from Retron). Well: some of the titanrans with Carpo and Vondur certainly need them as the leads of the race, and they will help lead everyone to their next destination via the titanran cruiser. The ship itself is massive and green with massive engines to reach light speed, multiple windows to see the journey ahead as well as what is at either side of those inside the craft. Some of the metal has got rusty but there is some growing vegetation within the ship to help the titanrans just in case (no vegetation on the outside as they can freeze in space), and it can also help with various aspects like providing food or fuelling the healing beds. As they make their way, Zammy wonders how he could make the titanran ship better, make it more powerful or armoured but that is where Mike, Nicole and Dyon somewhat have a go at Zammy. Zammy shouldn't show off, power is a tool for various situations, not a collection of toys. But afterwards, they do apologise to Zammy, they understand that Zammy can get ahead of himself sometimes, but helping against the morfils does show otherwise. Even Zammy apologises not only for attempting to speed up the Livengor process but for stating that he shouldn’t comment about making things better, he can do it on his own but if some other thing is slightly inferior then it’s not his concern. After reaching similar wavelengths, Mike talks about how Retron used to be level-headed until pride made him lose his way, eager to top his power above everyone else’s, and in the end, he had no one on his side and no power left in him. Zammy is given a massive shock by reality, making him consider the use of his powers even more, and it even makes him dislike Retron more. Not to mention while Zammy was asked to fix some parts of the ship such as dents around the engine, Zammy did offer to make another ship entirely, but everyone wanted to stick to only one ship, Zammy could always generate another ship via the walls of the titanran ship if another dog fight was to happen.
The legion now has arrived at their latest mission, at the dam where the next type of foe occurs, Kahs, aliens which are a size of a dodgem and wears a special suit which essentially makes you a living tank, two side machine guns and a main shooter at the top of their hunchback.Whilst also possess dark cyan skin with their suits being pale green with a lot of rust around them, and they are on their way to blowing up the dam. Zammy swerves the Awesome Atone as Nicole and Mike jump off the side of the Awesome Atone with the side doors opening, and they begin firing at the kahs using their stun lasers with the same guns. The dam consists of a wide bridge across the top of the dam, its calm-level water on the left, and falling water on the right, with fencing and big concrete blocks on both the left and right of the bridge. These concrete blocks both sides use as firing cover, the legion wants to stun all the kahs, and the kahs want to hold back the legion now it has been made and is on a timer. Once the kahs lose access to their weapons from Zammy’s zapping alongside losing their explosive, they all fly off individually, they only fly when moving from one planet to the next to preserve their limited fuel.
~Chapter 10 – Mechajaw strikes back
The morfils from the titanran battle have returned, and as Mechajaw makes his way back to Pod after checking all of his gears (as he does daily), the morfils update him. Mechajaw is told that they have lost the fight, no titanran died (as far as they know) and the morfils were losing numbers fast. This angers Mechajaw to the point where he acts viciously with them, making the morfils all back off as they try and apologise. Mechajaw is mad at his morfils but also triggered that these titanrans seem overpowering, he does have an idea to try and make the morfils more powerful, perhaps by getting what is inside Pod’s trident. In the end, one morfil was harmed by Mechajaw as he hits it multiple times, the rest have already left alongside the harmed one. Mechajaw then decides to have a go fight against Pod as soon as Mechajaw returns to the cells, but after doing a couple of things first. Firstly, Mechajaw normally likes his morfils to be in top condition, and those which are not, are mind altered. But ones that cannot be fixed at all (like acting up after being mind-altered) will be sent to the planet of the vuraniks, which is a planet where you go from standing on your legs to being on a free meal for a whole race. Due to being threatened, Mechajaw tries to use his mind technology to try and get Pod on his side, but Pod's mind is too great. But what Mechajaw can still do is unlock memories of Pod, which does start to affect and scare Pod, remembering not only his memories of being an orca but also the times when he was a mindless morfil. Mechajaw does have enough respect to give Pod a chance to fight to be the leader of the morfils, and so Pod is left alone in his cell to get the next fight prepared and also give the audience a break after seeing and taking part in a previous fight. While Mechajaw leaves Pod, Mechajaw also explains more about the morfil's origin. Their creator, Creati was someone who became interested in orcas, he managed to go around the earth without being spotted, and so saw some inspiration for what his next galaxy-protecting race could be. Pod was the first alien to be noted and noticed by Earth, and Creati did look around Earth for other inspiration but orcas won it for him. He was allied with Zemion too, who did have his galaxy-protecting race until Orphion took it from him, and the morfils would have been good if it wasn’t for Creati’s overstepping with experimentation. The morfils ended up with Mechajaw, therefore Zionthor, just like Orphion, with Zemion trying to create Dyon and help other planets while Vatter’s empire was building up. At first, he was successful, treating his first few morfils well, even if there were problems like limited powers or how they were getting memories from the orcas that were experimented on. The creator then took further leaps such as making Pod which was able to absorb at least one element as well as Mechajaw which was mixed with netrobot technology. Mechajaw was sick of the lack of control and so took it upon himself, Just because he was controlled, it doesn't mean that he should take that away from others. Not to mention Mechajaw became more goal-oriented as Zionthor had him and other morfils purpose to concur, but as we know, both Zionthor and Mechajaw end up having different ideas for what peace should be. Even some morfils agree with Zionthor’s vision of peace compared to Mechajaw’s ideas, but no one can disagree with Mechajaw without being sent to the vuraniks. The first morfils that are generated by Creati were carried over by getting much genetics from orcas. Parts of an orca’s mind were carried over which explains the flashes of memories which the early morfils got, and this even carries over when Creati made a machine to duplicate morfils which Mechajaw has. Other parts helped with the origin like the kind of skin, muscles and even teeth the orcas have which the morfils got, and Creati from scratch firm’s genetic codes to create a normal body of arms and legs but more jacked up. The next morfil fight is about to begin at the arena, Pod versus Mechajaw, Mechajaw is keen to be brutal, but Pod is trying a more concentrated approach despite the memories all flooding back to him. Regardless, the fight begins, and it seems balanced so far, Mechajaw himself does have an interesting set of abilities. He is well-armoured thanks to netro which matches with some of the strongest skin ever thanks to netro particles in his DNA. He also had his handy set of weapons which can only be part of either arm, a special hand that can turn into a mace, a blade or a laser blaster. The battle goes on fairly okay, with the morfils split on who they want to win. From the previous fight, Mechajaw was curious about Pod's trident, it has similarities to Vibre thanks to what Zionthor reminds Mechajaw of this often. During the fight, Pod attempts to what skills he had shown off earlier and use it against Mechajaw, but because Mechajaw is physically harder, bigger and heavier, some moves like pushing or taking down won’t be easy. However, Pod wants to use all of his aggression to harm Mechajaw to hopefully kill him, he does not need to be alive after all, not a murdering rampage machine like Mechajaw. Pod attempts everything such as trying to jab his trident towards Mechajaw, forming ice structures around his hand for harder punches. Also using many massive flame-based attacks against Mechajaw as well as trying to freeze or drown Mechajaw in a mound of ice and water. Despite the effort, not only is Mechajaw very tolerant but it is the rage of Pod and the distraction of his memories coming back, it is diminishing Pod’s full potential and concentration, making some of his fighting performances and Vibre powers often half-baked. While Mechajaw doesn’t have as many fighting moves, he does fight like an animal, biting, throwing and constantly whacking any opponent he comes across, he does manage to harm Pod in various ways, using all his weapons. Despite not being able to land his laser blade on Pod, Pod is still shot by his laser blasts a couple of times, whacked a good few times by the mace and claimed a couple of times by his clamping weapon. Pod has one more boost by merging the full power of Vibre into one punch, being able to damage Mechajaw’s chest peace of his armour, which gives Pod a sense of false hope that he could win. With the memories getting to Pod, Mechajaw takes advantage and aims to not only hurt Pod more easily but even wreck the trident which means Vibre is exposed. And so Pod attempts to charge up his power fully again as he uses water to rise above Mechajaw, but the memories of his past invasions come back to him again, remembering all the lives he took. This is enough for Mechajaw to grab hold of the trident, hold it away from Pod, and use the clamp weapon to break the trident, making Pod lose even more concentration. So Mechajaw wins the fight by finally jabbing his laser sword towards Pod’s stomach, and while Pod does put ice over the wounds of the sword jab, he is defeated, struggling to summon Vibre, slowly fainting. Pod tries to get to Mechajaw with a final push, Pod is still unsure about the power which he can manipulate without the need of the trident. Pod attempts another go against Mechajaw without the trident as water, ice and fire are spawned from him, surprising everyone, but it is not enough, Pod gets knocked out by a good smack from Mechajaw. What Mechajaw didn't notice however is that one of Pod's ice-based jabs has managed to damage the main chest part of Mechajaw's cyborg body. This means that he is running out of time, and needs an operation now (and this was enough to distract Mechajaw from killing Pod, meaning some morfils have to take Pod to the vuraniks considering they are always hesitant to kill their kind). The minimum energy of the heat-emitting obsidian inside Mechajaw is running low fast, but he can not only be taken quickly to the room for his bodily repairs but he finally has an element to fuel him. He didn't mind which one but Vibre was one of his more favoured ones considering the water connection to which he and other morfils enjoy. But even the additions of ice and fire make Vibre more exciting, and so he now has a permanent energy source, while Pod is sent to where he will gain permanent suffering, from the vuraniks. Once again, the morfils are split again, the likes of Clam not only see Pod as a worthy fighter but someone who seems fairer and someone more sympathetic, compared to Mechajaw who will not train the morfils. Knowing that these morfils train each other (Mechajaw never trains his race, he is too preoccupied with that) even then, these creatures are genetically made to counter any combat situation including martial arts. Mechajaw is also shown to be more animalistic, which encourages more morfils to be on Pod’s side, but even the other morfils are either following Mechajaw out of fear or think Mechajaw is a good leader and that Mechajaw is only vicious to show strength, just like any other animal.
~Chapter 11 – Retron's temporary glory
Back down on earth, Retron has been updated that the legion is now off the planet, after looking at the atmospheric activity and searching throughout the whole planet. While worried about what could happen to the earth is also happy that not only does he have the earth to himself but that there are defences now all over the planet and are still getting added to, making the earth very well protected. Retron is at the top balcony of the base, a base that has some renovations no thanks to the event caused by Torrid. Retron looks over the town and sees his ego all over his views making him happy for once and making him very nostalgic. In his mind, he is thinking of the mission that made him a hero of his own, when he fought off terrorism which was threatening the same town he is staring out, but without the night-time and the snowy weather. Retron was a very good leader, able to get through the mission without losing any of his cannon fodder and able to face the big bad boss at a point of causing fear instead of losing it. He has everything he wants, the medals, the recognition, the lot. But then when one of the first alien attacks happened ten years ago, before Pod ever stepped foot on Earth, it was an alien army that not only got his eye but ended up losing his legs, all of which were done via lasers, making him a disadvantaged bloke who could never reach those successful heights again. But right now, he has the level of power he wants, and he can get those glory days back, back when fighting evil humans was a fun sport for him, someone who has been eager for the earth to be this protected. Thanks to these defences from Retron, Retron can allow him to join the battlefield more easily, and he likes it. More turrets, drones and other ideas are also going to be possible as the president enabled the start of the new method of star farming, encouraging many space travelling servicemen to fetch various stars which can get the earth into a new golden age or netro age you could say. All that research towards netro after Orphion’s attack later pays off, It is a kind of technology that is complicated to use at first but then it can be moulded into all sorts like play dough, even quick to use too mainly thanks to Orphion and Zemion's liquid metal innovation. While Retron has all of these dreams, despite the shrinking crime, it is still going on, and the latest consists of a bank robbery. These robbers are stealing money to try and aid their own families considering that Torrid’s attack did affect some businesses within Earth along the way, but leaving a bank will not be easy now they are out of the door. The robbers have seen the defences already onto them, they try and run to their car, the three of them, to try and outrun the netro drones that appear before their eyes. With one drone struggling to shoot stun lasers at the car or the robbers directly considering the car has no roof, this is where other drones are notified about this and so go after the car, adding to the trouble the car is in. As some servicemen watch this, they wonder how these drones are going to resolve this situation, and this is where the turrets are already onto it too, firing more stun lasers at the car, and in the end, the car ends up stopping slowly due to these lasers. Now the car has stopped, the robbers try and use their stolen servicemen guns to try and fire at the drone, but the drones are too tough, and the stun lasers already stun the robbers before they can make any more of a move, especially now they had stopped before entering a more public area after getting off a motorway. This results in the drones grabbing hold of the robbers with a special claw machine from under the drone and taking them to prison, where the servicemen at least have a role, but they might as well be your average wardens, servicemen used to do all the risky businesses. Retron sees this as, yet another crime successfully countered by his defences, making him very pleased, and this gets to a point where more and more servicemen start to leave public areas, going back to the base or other lesser protective areas now they are running out of things to do. There are times when he likes to be the primary hero despite being a sniper user. In this case, there was an attempted robbery, and now that robbery was shortened as the drones got to the robbers early enough. This enables Retron to gain some leverage, witnessing others fear him, even searching for the legion via trying to track technology outside of the legion’s abandoned collabtors when the legion got rid of them during the ‘fetching Dyon’ heist. Even thanks to netro innovations, like Dyon who can oversee the whole universe, the earth’s base thanks to the prior development with the satellites enables the earth to see more but slowly over time. This means that searching for the legion out of space would take a while, thinking that the legion could come back to bring another threat with them. Minutes later, a serviceman has seen the legion finally enter a world, a world of the morfils, making them consider firing towards the planet a lot easier, and so Retron orders the planet attacker to fire towards that planet. As the servicemen wait for his call as the strike is getting set up, the president now wants to see him, and this is where a servicemen craft is called in to drop off Retron to where the president is, at the large balcony of his house. The president wants to talk to Retron about the defences, Retron uses his collabtor to showcase holographic statistics for how well his defences are doing. It has been reducing crime, but the town and more are almost afraid to not do any bad considering the turrets and drones everywhere Retron even talks about how all of this is a dream come true. While the president is impressed, he has missed the legion’s way of doing things, not making the public scared once they clarified who they truly are and the variety of moves they can do. Not to mention, the legion managed to help Dyon calmly compared to the netro weapons which caused a lot of damage, less controlled than the legion. Retron then explains that the goal was to destroy Dyon which the president is already baffled about, especially when he has seen footage that the lasers were not stun-based. The president shows while the legion is flawed, the netro defences still need major improvements, and Retron needs to make up for all the people they would have hurt or worse, the town is still getting repaired after all. Retron despite being more into his nostalgia instead of being a hero rather than the condition of the people still understands that if he wants to be better than the legion then the destruction and harming have to be more minimal, and so Retron also orders the improvements to get going.
~Chapter 12 – Legion sees the morfils too
The legion has started to arrive at the morfil planet, seeing a morfil ship returning to the planet without them knowing the context. This would be Pod being sent to the vuranik planet, which the legion does not know of yet. In the meantime, as Mechajaw is trying to adjust to a more powerful form of energy in his system, he also uses the cove where more morfils are produced, thanks to the creator creating devices to create multiple battle-born morfils at once, Mechajaw uses it sparingly. He knows that using the machine too much in a short time can cause problems, it possesses the life force after all with specific parts to make up a whole morfil adult body. Regardless, the numbers are high again Mechajaw is ready for the next invasion, but going to Zionthor first before Earth. The legion and some titanrans (including Carpo and Vondur) all get out of the ship and sneakily make their way to where most of the morfils are, seeing a load from the high ground. Thanks to the quiet engine of the titanran's craft, even lowering the ship nearby some high mountains makes the ship hidden from the morfils whether in the air or on land, the good guys all arrive without raising any eyebrows. Nicole does come up with a plan to surround the morfils thanks to the titanrans plants and stun the lot, perhaps transporting the lightning from Zammy through the plants, an effective yet controlled way of using power. All of this gets foiled however when Retron's missiles start smacking against the planet, harming and killing morfils and wrecking most of the land, making everyone try and reach for cover. As this happens, many morfils get brought down, and both Mechajaw and the morfils agree that they all need to get onto their ships and consider going back to their old world. This will make the morfils either miss the new one, looking forward to the old world or with some morfils never seeing their old world ever. Mechajaw, as he gets onto a ship, starts to dislike Earth, believing no planet has a force like this, he has heard rumours of Earth embodying netro, from all the star farming and all the repurposing from Orphion’s attack. Now Mechajaw has lost his new world, going back to the old one is a minor annoyance considering what he has achieved, and he is keener to fight both the earth and the legion, possibly thinking the legion has done this. Despite the cover, the legion sees what Mechajaw looks like, seeing him as intimidating but the bombing makes it hard for any of the legion to fire at him. All they can do is hide from the missiles, under some hard land which is aided by the titanran’s vegetation and Zammy’s cubes, and this explosive makes it so that no morfil sees any intruders during this attack. The bombing eventually stops, and the morfils even start to evacuate, wondering what happened, but Mechajaw thinks this was the earth's doing and is keener to mainly face them despite having an idea to benefit his goal on a much larger scale, and he can now do that with an element in his possession. Once the morfils all leave the planet, some are left behind and the legion is hoping any of them are alive, and thankfully they do come across Clam who is thankfully still alive, for now. As he was someone who admired Pod the most, he tells the legion about the vuranik planet and would need to go there fast, these vuraniks are considered extremely dangerous considering their many numbers, concerning the legion. Even Clam also uses his last breaths to mention that Mechajaw too is more dangerous than ever, getting hold of Pod’s power from the trident, Mechajaw is harder to fight than an average morfil, not only made up of harder skin and a netro suit but even an element ability too. Clam sadly dies from the injuries, and Dyon even tries to fire at Mechajaw but the ship is too quick, Dyon still doesn't have his flight yet, but for now, they do need to save Pod, while not knowing where Mechajaw is going. There was an idea to split the team considering Zammy can make his ships, but considering what Clam said, all must be united to help Pod while no other danger is around. They do not want to risk getting hurt by Mechajaw too, the next big bad opponent which requires teamwork of its own.
~Chapter 13 – Vuraniks
Pod wakes up in a land of green soil and bone, and as he wakes up, gives up on life, all he can do now is relax on a planet he thought he would be staying on for ages, he has no ship after all. The planet isn’t very appealing, but Pod isn’t fussy about whatever land he walks upon, he can partially alter land via fire, ice and water, and he can always change a world. As he starts getting some of his strength back, with no trident, he starts to unlock more of his Vibre power without the need for the trident, making him puzzled. But over time he starts to feel Vibre within himself and practises for quite some time. However, he starts to see something crawling, and other things coming from the sky, and it is the vuraniks themselves. Dark green snake-like with horns, sharp teeth and dragon wings, all coming towards Pod. Pod does see all the bones around him, including morfil skeletons, not many races are safe around here, so all he can do now is fight them off. He was spooked at first but at the same time, morfils are scary too, not letting any fear get to him, he has fought off armies before, and this one is no different now that he feels closer to Vibre. As he fights them, he is aiming to own the planet pretty much, even if he needs to get rid of every Vuranik in the land. As the vuraniks fly towards Pod, Pod starts to summon his Vibre powers despite his condition. He does all sorts to the incoming vuraniks such as freezing them, pushing them away via water, drowning some in water, putting vuraniks into ice blocks and more. He does also forms various ice weapons such as a solid ice trident to jab multiple vuraniks and even throw them like javelins. He also uses his martial arts if some of the vuraniks get too close, going as far as performing a move where Pod rolls into the ground which squishes vuraniks against the ground. Pod is willing to kill these creatures because if all they do is feed, then no discussion can be done. However, more and more vuraniks start to occur, making Pod desperate, he has got a couple of bites from some of the vuraniks. Their jaw also possesses a type of alien bacteria that can slowly make a foe sleepy or even kill depending on how strong your body is, but despite some injuries, he remains motivated. The legion and titanrans are about to look for Pod, and as they make their way there, Mike decides to call Retron via the collabtor. Retron is contacted about the missile strike, and Retron has admitted to trying to kill them all, and he has certainly got rid of some morfil. Mike tries to get Retron to lower his ego before more wrongdoings occur to which Retron scoffs. This completely wipes away any friendship they have left between one another, and so the call ends, but they have now made it to the planet. And so far, Pod isn't doing very well against the vuraniks despite the immense effort. Because of the kind of chemicals that are within the jaws of Vuraniks, this makes Pod get more or more delusional, nearly fainting and with his memories spiralling out of control. Not to mention the loads of injuries he has already, and thankfully he is a strong enough race to not be in a far worse condition. In the end, the legion does manage to reach Pod, not even a tenth of the vuraniks have been defeated by Pod, but most of them are about to get moved aside by the legion and Pod. Nicole advises both herself and Zammy to go and defend and rescue Pod, with the titanrans helping fight off the vuraniks, using their fists or vines. As the titanran’s cruise starts to arrive at the land, to which the vuraniks spot a point where a good majority of them make their way to the ship, seeing how big it is. There must be a lot of meat in there, with only a good few left to try and get hold of Pod, who is starting to collapse despite Pod using Vibre’s power to keep the vuraniks away, fainting before he sees who is coming to save them. Nicole and Carpo plan a charge with Zammy, Mike, Dyon and Nicole using their long-range abilities to fire at the vuraniks, making their way to Pod, and the titanrans form massive leaf-like shields to protect the legion. The rest of the titanrans, and even some titanrans stay near the ship, forming loads of vegetation within the ground, causing many underground vines to appear, keeping the vuraniks in the air or knocking them out. At this point, the vuraniks are so monstrous they all agree that killing them would have to be done for everyone’s survival because everyone is getting too close to these airborne yet snapping jaws. Eventually, Nicole, Dyon, Mike and Zammy make it to Pod, seeing him as unconscious, seeing him bitten many times but also seeing no trident, seeing that Pod can use Vibre without Pod’s weapon. Dyon and Zammy sense around and no trident is in sight, so Dyon starts to take Pod, carrying him while keeping his weapons up so that Pod doesn’t get bitten anymore. Plus, Nicole and Zammy stay nearby, and even Zammy sees that while he can show off, it is for a good reason, A massive amount of power is needed here but the overall goal is still to protect Pod. Even Nicole is starting to get more comfortable with the idea that she cannot be close to Mike all the time, and doesn’t have to worry about him, if Nicole is protected by Zammy and Dyon then Mike can be protected by the titanrans, who is helping the titanrans as they are less long ranged compared to Mike. Over, Pod gets into the cruiser, and once he is placed inside, Zammy and Nicole carry on taking Pod inside the ship, to where the healing beds are while Dyon fires loads from his machine guns, the missiles from the back and his laser eyes, almost creating a rainstorm going upwards which had no vuranik touching the ship. The titanrans and Mike now see Pod inside, and they all start to get inside the ship, only one titanran has been bitten by a vuranik, but he is still standing. The vine manipulation keeps going as they all make their way to the ship, Mike’s drone has also been a big help in decreasing the air activity in the sky. Sadly that drone does get taken apart by the vuraniks, making Mike sad, but he knows there are more important things than a broken drone, making it a bitter taste for the vuraniks they do not like, adding to their frustration that no one is dead enough to eat from. Many other titanran feats are performed like grabbing vuraniks to swing them into the ground, creating giant Venus fly traps, sharp vines that drive through multiple vuraniks and creating many vines for the titanrans to run on to get to the ship quicker. As this fight starts to finish, they all start to come onto the cruiser all help fight off the vuraniks. The vuraniks at least see enough of their corpses at a point where they can feed off them instead of trying to eat some beings who are masters of combat. With Pod now taken on the ship, and the rest jumping back on, they leave the vuranik planet as quickly as possible. Thanks to this battle, even Zammy has yet another moment where he sees that power isn't everything, it is more about being helpful than showing off the power. Like most fights, it was a traumatic experience, They are relieved that Pod is okay but worn out at the same time, it was one of the roughest and quickest situations they had ever been through. With one of the titanrans injured, even the titanrans start to see the legion as someone more efficient, but Vondur still isn’t too convinced, thinking that any fight should be done effortlessly, a slight mistake is strict in his mind.
~Chapter 14 – Mechajaw sees Zionthor...again
In the Deepa Fortress, now the morfils are to find their former planet, somewhere which will be safer and not one that would be attacked in this missile manner again. As most of them make their way there, Mechajaw alongside some assisting morfils goes and sees Zionthor. Mollug notifies Zionthor about Mechajaw's visit as some morfil ships are coming, pleasing Zionthor, no thanks to Dyon, protesting from the public and even Torrid. Zionthor only has the allies that have just arrived at his fortress, the classic four (Ekron, Ravycon, Astroiden and B) that have fought the legion twice before, they have come back after updating themselves with where all the elements are. But at least Mechajaw has one element that can restore some balance for Mechajaw...or as he may have thought. Mechajaw sees Zionthor, and Zionthor sees that Mechajaw not only has an element, but he has managed to absorb it, and despite some minor instability, Mechajaw can control it well enough so far, which does concern Zionthor. Mechajaw admits that both of them are not going to get on, and so Mechajaw thinks of an idea to get rid of Zionthor, with the help of the morfils with him. Mechajaw has enough morfils to overthrow the fortress, but Zionthor's goons and Zionthor himself are too great, encouraging the morfils to go back on their ships and evacuate, as for Zionthor and Mechajaw, they fight. As they fight, as normal, Zionthor is the one with fewer abilities, but he is still ahead in terms of strength, martial arts and speed, Mechajaw still tries all sorts to get to Zionthor. Like trying to put Zionthor in an ice block, putting him in a water bubble, trying to put Zionthor into a fiery spot, trying to jab Zionthor with an icy weapon and even trying and burn part of Zionthor up close. Zionthor managed to counter all of them except the last move, Zionthor was strong enough to break through the ice, countering any sharp shard coming towards him and fast enough to escape water or fire. Not to mention every punch or kick from Mechajaw despite a couple of hits is countered effortlessly by Zionthor. He uses a type of martial art which not only blocks hits but hits them back, making any body area bruised, you cannot hit Zionthor without getting hit harder back. While Mechajaw has more power, Zionthor has more experience, he does receive a nasty burn from Mechajaw after using a fire ability, but even Mechajaw decides he cannot quite come on top of Zionthor. So he leaves, using a flooding ability to slow down those in the Deepa Fortress, and so Mechajaw gets on a ship with the surviving morfils. A good few morfils went down after trying to invade this castle, and Mechajaw still needs a great army for another scheme later. Once the morfils all go, Mollug goes to see all of Zionthor's goons, and all of them are fine despite minor destruction around the Deepa fortress. However, Zionthor is badly hurt on the side from the burn from earlier, considering it's an element, and the only way to properly heal it is by getting all of the elements. Mollug tries to aid Zionthor to some extent, but this does encourage Zionthor to consider going out and about all over the galaxy to find the elements themselves instead of waiting for others to get them for him. He is hurt now, why wait when he can do and get them himself? He was hoping not to get hurt in this manner, that’s why he stayed at the fortress, now that is no longer excusable.
~Chapter 15 – Dyon's back in action
In the titanran ship, they are still going after Mechajaw, and Dyon using his universe-scanning skills so far has no clue. After all, space is so complex with the energy it possesses that Dyon can never track Zionthor and others in the Deepa fortress down there, you would have to search there in person. But as better preparation, Dyon does have his flight back and will keep out for Mechajaw, the legion sees if he can make up for not being able to help various planets after so long, and so he flies off the ship. Dyon despite struggling to choose which planet needs more help from him, starts to help a planet, a planet which did start getting attacked by another race, and these race verves race-like conflicts have been happening due to lack of resources. So they try and get them from other planets, and the planet of the hummats, Flope, which are essentially your average whales but with legs, there are many earth animals made into other aliens after all. The planet does have nice grass, which is edible, but Dyon does come in to stop the conflict considering these hummats are getting fired at zennixs. These beings are made up of shapeshifting metal as if they are made up of miniature chains, also very hot creatures, with red hot eyes and their main sword which is hot at the end, even able to throw hot blasts around. This grass is what the zennixs are after, a secret food that many other races do not know about, but it doesn’t excuse killing the hummats who only attack to threaten. The planet Flope is mainly a world of many floating islands, many of them have waterfalls leading to the water below. The planet is also low in gravity which explains the floating islands, even these waterfalls you can swim upwards. Dyon stops the lot, as a mainly robotic race, only existing to cause malicious activity, not stopping at Dyon’s presence, Dyon had no choice but to fire at all of them. The zennixs try and fight back by throwing blobs at heat, metallic shards or swinging their sword at Dyon, but despite taking a lot of fire zennixs can regenerate their bodies thanks to the shapeshifting metal. But in the end, Dyon sorts out the lot, about twenty of them gone in minutes. This little battle ends but the hummat we're not so impressed, this wasn't the first time it happened recently, so Dyon is not properly forgiven, and so Dyon decides to leave them. Dyon may have helped save some hummats but it doesn’t make up for all the times Dyon failed to get to them. It’s not just Dyon’s current absence which has annoyed many races, a lot of races have been fed up with Dyon going from world to world, They all wish to have their own Dyon in each world. Dyon continues to scan all around the universe, and he is unable to help with what they all think of Dyon, and the legion too, this makes Dyon wonder what else to do once Mechajaw and Zionthor get out of the way. Dyon questions his existence, Is he needed despite trouble reaching such a low point? He knows he isn’t going to be around forever despite his immortality thus far, but he will give his own life if it results in permanent peace, or a greater form of peace compared to what it is like now, or what it is about to become. Not to mention in the past, some races were understanding that Dyon was only going to be around from time to time as he promised to help many other planets, but for his appearance to be none non-existent for ages is where the races started to forgive him less.
~Chapter 16 – Flooding begins
In the meantime, Zammy, Nicole and Mike all watch Pod in another room via a window, the titanrans have added their healing beds inside the ship, and they did it quickly before leaving their home, and Pod is on one of those healing beds. On the subject of healing, Mike states to both Zammy and Nicole that he has been ill for a long time and continues to be, even coming back after some healing from the titanrans, he does use his collabtor to keep track of his entire body function. This does make Zammy sad and Nicole devastated, adding to the reason that Nicole should start having her inner strength. This is where Nicole and Mike have their own space, Mike understands that this news is a lot to take in. Nicole is staring at a window, looking out of space, amazed by the scenery. But at the same time, she is still trying to take in the news and thinking negatively that this legion is now a rouge team rather than an organisation that is helping the flawed universe that Nicole is looking at. But if Mike is not going to be around, then she needs to step up and find her power as a human, She has her gear and her physique, and now she needs the mindset. Mike on the other hand while understands that Nicole needs time alone, but Mike does go and see both Carpo and Vondur, talking about their next plan, wondering where either Mechajaw or Zionthor could be. Mike also shares how exciting it is to see new alien beings, and outside of Pod and Arvin, the titanrans have started to become another favourite alien. After all, the titanrans are strong and full of presence and their quirks are extremely fascinating like the use of vegetation. Vondur while finding it tedious at first then starts to see how other races can complement another, and as Mike states the legion was originated by him. Vondur does see more that the team was made from an honest set of reasons on how to make security better rather than an egotistical idea coming from being greedy with power. Carpo also compliments Mike well, and while Mike does talk about how the earth is all under Retron, Carpo would like to see the president and what the earth is like. Even offers to make the vegetation better if he ever goes there, something which makes Mike and Vondur curious too. Another who has his own space is Zammy, and Zammy decides to go and see Pod, after all, they haven't seen each other for days. But Pod due to the ongoing memories in his head ends up waking him up, especially from a nightmare involving Mechajaw beating him earlier, now he has blank eyes, growling at Zammy as Zammy is grabbed, scaring him. Pod rips the plants away from him, off the bed and pushes Zammy against a wall. Thanks to Zammy's shape-shifting suit, Zammy manages to use his suit to prevent any damage towards himself. Pod however has reverted to his old self, and various memories are going through his head as he rampages. Nicole and Mike run to Pod, trying his arms to prevent any harm towards Zammy while not hurting Pod. Zammy considered zapping Pod but pushing against the wall resulted in the engine being in danger of nearly blowing up. So both Nicole and Mike nicely advised Zammy to use his abilities to fix the engine which Zammy understands and works on immediately, thinking this is another way to show off but this is serious. With Pod acting hostile, Nicole and Mike look back on how they helped with hostile Dyon earlier, to offer to heal and try and reason without showing acts of violence. Even some titanrans start coming about to restrict and neutralise Pod, but Pod is not easy to handle. Even Carpo theorises that Pod's healing is incomplete, instead of Pod relaxing, the memories in his head jar him again, and so putting him back on the bed will stop Pod from continuing this behaviour any longer. Zammy starts using his lightning to keep the power level stable and his cube abilities to prevent any more breaking of the engine. The titanrans, however, do struggle against Pod, but Pod eventually gets strapped back towards the bed and starts the healing process. Nicole and Mike try and talk to him as they assist the titanrans, making Pod calm down, especially with the healing getting completed. What many didn't realise however is that part of the engine's problems is making the ship go too fast as well, and now it is about to crash towards the earth, no thanks to the fight disrupting the engine. The piloting titanrans try and stop it, and while Zammy attempts to this fix, Dyon has been keeping out of this for ages. He comes to get the ship before it goes towards Earth too hard, only a small crater is made, and Dyon can see that everyone inside is fine, mainly injuries from Pod's havoc earlier. But when we thought that the trouble was over, some mysterious flooding started to happen, and the public was advised to either evacuate or go anywhere safe like a new bunker system which allowed some homes to find a safe place underground. But only if there was enough time to enable the public to have more access to it. But where is all this flooding coming from? Even fire and ice start spawning from certain areas or become uncontrollable on many planets, but it is the massive amount of flooding water that takes the lead here. This is the doing of Mechajaw, he is using Vibre to control water alongside ice and fire, but mainly water for the flooding. Mechajaw sees that his ball of Vibre is solidifying on its own, able to control this ball, therefore, controlling all the flooding. As Retron wrecked their prior world, they returned to their prior home, which is mainly inferior because it's all ruins, and very little water and vegetation but it was Creati’s world so this is where they stayed before taking a planet from Snaki’s. This race who are experimental with the elements but tries and get it from other ways rather than the main elements themselves. This race was alike a lionfish but with its own set of arms and legs, small overall, with fins all from the neck down to the lower back. But it is a world that the morfils liked more due to the amount of water and building space, but they can worry about worlds later, they all need to jump back on their ships again. Speaking of Retron, like everyone else, the feeling of this battle is shared with everyone, fear, watching all around. They are trying to mind rubble and water, plus becoming unfamiliar with a town that used to be so recognisable at every corner. Retron thankfully has gone up to the high ground of the base earlier on, being unsure of the titanrans and the morfils. Not only does Retron think of the titanrans as somewhat gross with the vegetation but seeing the morfils especially Mechajaw does make Retron dislike Pod even more. Seeing where he may have come from, Retron doesn’t see a good or bad side, just aliens that shouldn’t be on Earth. Now the morfils have yet another trip on their ships after Mechajaw provides a speech for them all, whether the morfils are into the conflict or not. They are on their way to earth as they all run to the parked ships, the primary problem in his eyes, plus he can prove to himself that he is better than Zionthor. Plus, he is looking forward to seeing what earth's wildlife is like without the humans in the way. And so, they all make their way, Mechajaw and Vibre don't always get on, but Mechajaw is eager for the next task. Back to earth, and everyone in the titanran ship is starting to recover, Dyon quickly goes to see Retron before the flooding gets catastrophic. Dyon asks Retron why the defences use netro when he recommended not to use netro in ways which were forbidden. Retron scoffs at what Dyon states, talking about how Retron would be a better user of netro than Dyon could ever be and even threatens Dyon to stay away from the earth because of these defences. Regardless, the flooding starts taking effect, and so Dyon makes his way after saying to Retron that the defences will fail him. Netro is never meant to be weaponised after all, but at the same time, Dyon is sad that Earth might not be a planet that Dyon will see again after the flooding, even having a bad feeling for the legion too. Dyon shows irritation that his warnings were ignored, the defences may have been okay now. But they will soon go out of whack or even falter if Mechajaw uses certain abilities that will make the turrets stop working. But Retron is not the kind who wants to listen to others, he will only listen to himself, and so far, he has not seen anything wrong with the defences thus far. Dyon is also more of a fan of someone using their abilities instead of forming abilities in ways that aren’t moral. And so, the flooding increases and Zammy sees this first before anyone else in the titanran ship, seeing this through a window. So Zammy tries to help the others get out as the water is breaching the ship, the titanrans wake up and start climbing too, using controlled vegetation to help. The legion does make it to the top, Zammy uses his cube abilities to form ladders to help the legion climb up. The ship starts to flood more at the bottom, and the ship nearly tilts over until the titanrans use vegetation to keep it upright even trying to keep the water out. The ship manages to stay where it is as everyone is on top of the ship, moving anytime soon once they have a plan. However, they see that not only has Pod gone considering he hasn't been seen within the ship but that the morfils are starting to arrive, and so Nicole devises the plan. Mainly to find Pod and get both themselves and the titanrans to slow down the morfils and try and reduce the havoc. For everyone to take down the morfils, no killing (which is where the plants can become useful despite the limited numbers of titanrans). Pod managed to get out of the ship quicker because he managed to protect himself more so as the ship was about to crash, enabling him to get out while the rest needed time to recover and get up. Some of morfils are now out of their ships and have landed around the town, which is where most of the havoc is going on, it's close to the sea and is lower ground after all. But other areas of the earth are starting to sink, and both servicemen and Retron’s drones are to help the people, collecting those who are on the roof, guiding those to underneath bunkers or dragging people out of the flooding water. Not only does Mechajaw see that the base is also near the town, but he notifies the others via the communication spell that the base is what will attempt to fight back. So the base is the focus to fight against, not to mention trying to find resident humans to reduce too. Once Zammy generates some collabtors from his tech-generating abilities as a response to Nicole’s orders, she provides those collabtors to all of the titanrans. Carpo now leads the titanrans with the plant manipulation and Vondur is leading the charge to get their hands on the morfils or any falling rubble. The titanrans are slowing down the morfil's goals, and Mechajaw despite being annoyed continues mainly on his own, even managing to fight a couple of titanrans without a problem. Mechajaw fights these titanrans in various ways such as freezing a titanran’s arm at a point where the arm breaks, shapeshifting his arm into a clamp which he uses to grab and swing titanrans away. He was also summoning ice-like shards that go through titanrans, toasting titanrans via fire or delivering a nasty bite as he plunges another titanran into the water. Carpo and Vondur try and fight Mechajaw themselves with Vondur trying to punch him down and Carpo using his vegetation to tangle up Mechajaw. Not only does Mechajaw freeze the vines and then break them but Vondur is given a nasty slash from an icy blade which also has fire. Hurting Vondur’s side then pushed into the water Carpo tries to save Vondur, allowing Mechajaw to escape. Along the way, despite the lack of stability, Mechajaw uses his Vibre powers constantly to the point where he destroys anything in his path, killing multiple people and servicemen. Making boats sink or freezing the servicemen's crafts to a point where they fall into the water, crashing into the ground, even some people he finds then eat, always wondering what any meat tasted like, and he was not a fan. The titanrans and morfils fight each other in a variety of ways such as the titanrans throwing hard punches from different angles and directions which matches their type of martial arts. They also throw debris around to knock back certain morfils or to prevent them from certain attacks like ship fire, the titanrans can also throw one another in the air to tackle these ships. Punching the ships upwards alongside biting-based attacks and those who control the vegetation have been using it to save some residents, control some flooding and move the debris to make certain areas more safe. But at the same time hitting morfils away, pulling them aside or tangling them to make it easier for other titanrans to attack certain morfils. Morfils which are either as keen as Mechajaw as in being into beating up the titanrans hard or Mechajaw has morfils which are more timid. They try to avoid the fight or try their best for survival, something which the titanrans tell each other about, mainly taking down the timid morfils lightly while fighting hard against the fearsome morfils. The morfils however also have their ways of attacking the titanrans like using their superior martial art skills to counter the titanrans in various ways regarding the titanran’s incoming punches. The sonic punches from the morfils are also used to hit titanrans away and are also handy for punching debris away from the morfils or back towards the titanrans. The morfil’s ships mainly fire cannon-like projectiles which have been aimed at the people, adding to the death and building damage not to mention the titanrans too. These are also crafts which are quite quick and being the size of a small bus makes it harder for these ships to aim, even the morfils have the advantage of swimming through the flooding. This enables them to drag titanrans into the water or use the water as a speed boost or temporary hiding place for when it comes to surprise attacks, making this battle more in their favour compared to planet Chronocope. So far, the legion has struggled to find Pod considering all the fighting, messes and flooding all around, and even Dyon is zooming all over planets to save as many as possible, those that are without help. Those who get saved by Dyon either have thoughts like 'Does this make for being absent despite everything being at a massive low point?' or 'Could Dyon and the legion still save them from what is happening now and in the future?' Dyon does all sorts to help the planets like moving residents aside or creating blockages to prevent flooding water around certain areas, making this the quickest time he had to go from planet to planet. He even helps wildlife too, and some races try their best to help others but Dyon has the speed and strength to benefit most of the race’s survival. Also keeping tabs on Earth, seeing that Earth is under control for now and that every legion member is alive for now. During the whole fight, Zammy, Nicole and Mike all work together to fight morfils via many ways like Zammy reflecting his lightning off Nicole’s riot shield. Zammy forms some blocks around morfils for Mike to fire at, and even Zammy attempts to make a new drone for Mike, one that is more powerful and armoured. But even then one of the morfils ends up wrecking it later in the fight despite doing well to defend the trio, and even both Nicole and Mike watch each other’s backs as they fire their guns behind one another. Zammy’s blocks have also been useful to go from place to place, creating platforms or bridges so they can get around safer, and trying to find Pod despite the rubble and battling around. Even the legion has to mind the netro defences too as Retron orders the programming to go for the legion too despite objections from the servicemen. This gets to a point where Zammy has to either manipulate the defence’s insides until they don’t work or zap them to stun them. But even then both the drones have been useful against the morfil ships and firing at the foes below as well as the turrets also firing at the same targets except the drones can help move residents and servicemen around. Regardless, the legion has Pod in its sights, and the legion despite fighting some morfils is still after Pod. Pod is seen mainly running or manipulating ice and water for speed boosts or platforms to reach Mechajaw quicker. Every morfil he encounters he also manages to fight easily, making morfils slip, pushing them away via water gushes, and swinging morfils down towards the ground. Plus, he even performed one cool move where he formed a whirlpool full of ice blocks around him when he was about to be surrounded by other morfils, knocking or pushing multiple away. There are a couple of instances where Pod does save residents, something which Zammy, Nicole and Mike have struggled with as they aren’t as tolerant to the flooding environment compared to Pod but even then both are more focused on getting Mechajaw, who the legion is trying to find as well. Pod can help as Pod has seen Mechajaw go in and out of hiding spots, but Zammy, Nicole and Mike still have to get to Mechajaw first, there is more which slows down the trio due to once again being less fit for bombastic situations compared to Pod. Most of the servicemen are firing at the base firing at the morfils ahead of them (even some morfils who try to circle the base too. The servicemen are around the town’s flooding too, and even other ones try and help other areas of the earth like the city which could be at risk with the flooding too. Only the servicemen aircraft are available to use and even their boats to help gather the people, but the cars and tanks have been hindered by the flooding. The servicemen mainly stick as a group, trying to fend off some morfils using their abilities but they mainly use their numbers to move rubble around to help the people and place them on the boats or aircraft. He was getting the people far away from the morfils as everyone could tell that these morfils were trying to hurt the people of the earth. At least the servicemen aircraft and boats have their machine guns which can also take down the morfil ships as well as the morfils towards the ground (until they are ordered to fire at other beings too). As all this flooding is a lot for everyone, while the residents are being saved by their heroes like the servicemen, others try and help themselves by moving rubble, hiding from the flooding or trying to find high or safe ground. This goes for every planet, and aside from Dyon, no other planet has heroic figures like Earth does, but even then not everyone from Earth sees the legion as heroes like they used to. The likes of the legion also see that Pod is mainly focused on chasing after Mechajaw, even though Pod tries to slow down Mechajaw using his Vibre-based powers. Mechajaw sees and notices this, giving each other a great menacing stare, and so Mechajaw tries to produce a variety of Vibre projectiles towards Pod like fiery ice shards, which does get Pod out of the way for now. Swimming in the direction of the base he sees where Mechajaw is heading towards whilst in the water, and as Mechajaw rushes to the base, he does so while avoiding the base’s fire. Mechajaw has gone right under the base at a point where no servicemen can reach him, unable to bend downwards while aiming their guns and also unable to go through gushing water as Mechajaw can. Some servicemen decide to go and find Mechajaw, but as some servicemen will find out, someone else has got hold of Mechajaw. Retron's defences were doing well at first, taking down many morfils, but Mechajaw from an early point did use his Vibre abilities to either wreck or stall both the drones or turrets (reducing many at a point where they don’t add to the fight). This makes Retron mad and makes him rely on servicemen shooting from the high ground, as well as sniping for him to add to the fire. Later, due to others coming, the servicemen do see Mechajaw down at the base, but then leave the scene once they see that Mechajaw ends up with someone else. This varies in many ways like shooting directly at the morfils, or even shooting at rubble to enable residents to get moving or to fire at rubble to make morfils fall into the water. The morfils do try and find cover considering how much fire is getting at them, even explosives are being fired too, which can take out multiple morfils, they are slightly weaker compared to Pod and Mechajaw. To try and fight the morfils more efficiently and consistently. This is where Zammy was borrowed to zap a titanran vine so that the ever-growing vines (the ones not touching the water) can travel lightning to zap multiple morfils at once. But it's not just the morfils, from Retron’s orders, they are now firing at the titanrans and legion too. This Nicole does let both Vondur, Carpo and the rest of the titanrans via their collabtors, explain that this is Retron's doing. Now Mike will go after Retron, even stating a nice few words to Nicole before he goes, that Nicole will be stronger without him. Mechajaw is reaching the base, mainly an underground part of it, and that is where Pod manages to freeze Mechajaw on the spot, controlling the Vibre within Mechajaw, preventing any movement...for now. Pod faces Mechajaw without fear, and Mechajaw is puzzled by Pod's abilities without the trident. Mechajaw and Pod fight each other in many ways as they both use Vibre as well as their abilities, for instance, Mechajaw tries to bite Pod around the head. But Pod summons an icy pole which prevents Mechajaw from biting as Pod places the pole in his mouth. Mechajaw manages to break it thanks to the strength of his jaw, and when Mechajaw tries to swing his blunt weapon towards Pod. Pod then catches it and forms an icy blade to slice the weapon off Mechajaw. Mechajaw also tries to cover Pod in flames but Pod counters that by forming water around him, diminishing all the fire, and when Mechajaw then tries to freeze Pod. Pod then moves aside and pushes Mechajaw into the water Pod was summoning, now Mechajaw is stuck in a whirlpool, and Pod hopes to keep Mechajaw in there Pod freezes the whirlpool but Mechajaw gushes out of it. This brawl then reaches its climax as both fight hand-to-hand combat while also throwing fire and icy tools at each other. While Mechajaw is more of a rapid animal, Pod is calmer and collected until he gets on top of Mechajaw again. So Mechajaw is trapped in ice up to his hips, then Pod kicks Mechajaw away, making Mechajaw go into other icy shards which Pod quickly summons. Then Pod starts to beat up Mechajaw, mainly around the body to make Vibre more unable, making Vibre start to eat Mechajaw away, with most of Mechajaw’s body stuck in ice. Both of them end up fighting again, giving each other devastating blows as well as using their abilities from Vibre, except that Pod has had more practice while Vibre is getting unstable within Mechajaw's suit. The memories are still there but Pod is now using them to take them out on Mechajaw now that Mechajaw is at a disadvantage. Meanwhile, Mike is confronting Retron, telling him to go for stun lasers and aim for the morfils, telling him as a mate. Retron belittles Mike, telling him he cannot lead Retron. And so the servicemen carry on the order, well some do while others just go for the morfils, knowing that Mike is more on the right side. Even some servicemen start to see more morfils that are reluctant to fight, so while Retron and Mike remain absent later, some servicemen decide to use stun lasers to slow down the foes now there has been enough killing. So Mike and Retron end up fighting, slipping away from the building, away from the servicemen as the flooding gets to the base, and the servicemen decide to leave them to it. Considering the many residents at stake and considering the targets they need to go for, even some join the other servicemen who are going around the floods to help others, something which the legion isn't doing as often as they should. As Mike and Retron fight, it is mainly hand-to-hand combat, Mike already disarmed Retron by taking away his sniper and throwing it in the water. But Retron takes Mike’s pistol and stamps it against the concrete, using his metallic feet to crush the pistol, leaving Mike with his little mace left as a fighting tool, trying to fight Retron to show that Mike is in the right. Right that Retron shouldn’t be reaching heights, and Retron has considered killing Mike as part of the legion’s downfall. Even Retron uses his crutch as a tool against Mike, resulting in an up-close fight of beating each other up while also fighting on buildings that are sliding into the water as well as chasing each other from one high ground to the next. Back at the legion, they are still finding Pod, and considering some funny Vibre activity going on near the base such as rising water and airborne fire. They think they know where Pod is, knowing that he will be trying to go for Mechajaw, but Mechajaw must survive and keep everything else in control. After going through some rubble and water, Zammy and Nicole end up coming across Pod, who is starting to beat up Mechajaw ruthlessly, nearly becoming his former self. Until Nicole shouts at Pod, snapping Pod out of the phase of being vicious, making him realise he is becoming something he has always wanted to avoid being. The base shields since Orphion’s attacks have been up and down throughout, Ozona’s storm somewhat jarred them at a point where it got messy but not destructive despite the danger. It remained up when the cube attack was happening considering it was all solid projectiles rather than a load of air and lightning. But in this case, the shields have been shut down due to the flooding, and even the main dam burst open, adding to the damage to the land. With Mechajaw trying to freeze the whole area to get to it easily, also gives the base a disadvantage. Nicole clarifies to Pod that Mechajaw is needed alive to ask where Zionthor would be hidden. Mechajaw then teases the lot, making Pod angry again, and so Zammy and Nicole try and get Pod to calm down, but Pod knocks them both away. So Nicole aims to confront Mechajaw while tasking Zammy to fight Pod to neutralise him, and Zammy controls his abilities which makes him get the upper hand considering how rough Pod is trying to be. Pod and Zammy fight against one another in many ways such as Zammy charging his blunt arm weapons with lightning which enables Zammy to hit Pod harder as he is stunned. Zammy then uses his shape-shifting suit to temporarily form a bigger suit on top of his main suit, allowing Zammy to get a small upper hand, trying to stop Pod from moving. Pod as he sees Zammy possesses a power like Torrid makes him angrier towards Zammy as Zammy continues to stop Pod from killing Mechajaw. This results in Pod freezing Zammy’s suit to make the suit more brittle and breaking parts of it, punching Zammy often, and driving Zammy into a wall. Zammy and Pod end up fighting up close as they both form tools from their powers and whack each other with them, and Pod nearly gets the upper hand as he can hit harder and faster. This distracts Pod to a point where Zammy zaps Pod by shooting into the sky, creating a lightning strike that hits Pod, massively stunning him as a result. Nicole attempts to be persuasive towards Mechajaw to get the location of Zionthor and offer mercy in return. But Mechajaw attempts to fib by stating that he killed Zionthor and that the legion is nothing but a pathetic lot who cannot help multiple planets, their evolution and choices have led them to all this carnage. Mechajaw does this because he knows that Zionthor's universe would be better than the legion's, preferring Zionthor as the overseer even if he doesn't fully agree with Zionthor. And so Zammy and Pod continue to fight, Pod may be more experienced and combating abilities, but Zammy is just as powerful yet more controlled at the moment, able to beat Pod as a result. As Mechajaw slowly dies, the whole carnage ends with the battle between Mike and Retron finish their brawl, Mike also loses his small modern mace. He almost gets the upper hand as he punches Retron a good few times in the face, driving Retron into the ground via a taking-down move, also countering Retron’s metallic leg kicks well. Retron sadly wins the fight as Retron grabs a sharp part of one of his metallic legs to jab Mike with, and then manages to push Mike off some high ground and into the water and rubble, taking away Mike's life as a result, and with no witnesses around. Retron somewhat feels bad but thought it was the right choice to prevent himself from getting into a small position again, and Mike would have kept the legion going. Going back to the legion, Pod and Zammy are done with their fight, and Nicole can't get information from Mechajaw, information which would have been useful, this does annoy Pod, and this is made worse by the fact Nicole saw Mike’s dead body. Dyon checks for any vital signs but there are none of them, meaning he is around no more, making everyone upset. This makes Pod even more annoyed with the legion, making them wonder why they went to him and not Mike, angry at them and threatening to harm them again. But this is where Dyon comes in and uses his controlled strength to stop Pod from attacking. Dyon is immensely stronger than Pod, and so Pod sees that he cannot continue to get rattled. Pod tried all sorts to get to either Zammy or Nicole such as trying to move Dyon aside, hitting him with ice blocks or trying to trap Dyon in ice but Dyon doesn’t slow down. So he kept hold of Pod until he calmed down, alongside the flooding around them, as they all sat, and Dyon looked at the legion, being disappointed for them, but flew away to help the planets continuously.
~Chapter 17 – The lowest point
Before Mechajaw dies, the ball of Vibre he created slowly goes, stopping all the flooding, and he uses his communication spell to tell the morfils that he is gone, and this makes all the morfils wonder what to do. So, Dyon gets everyone to stop fighting, zooming to the servicemen and titanrans too, getting everyone to help the rest of the situation, mainly reducing the damage of the flooding and helping the residents. But like any supernatural ability, with no Mechajaw means no more flooding, and so this catastrophic event is over, worse than Torrid's damage, and now everyone's low point has reduced significantly, almost post-apocalyptic for so many planets. With no Mechajaw, the morfils that are more drawn to Pod offer to take Mechajaw's body and protect it, staying on their planet. While a few other morfils have been invested in Mechajaw at a point where they decide to have their freedom instead of switching to the good side. Both the morfils and titanrans do have a discussion, and both agree that this conflict went on for too long, and the morfils were used, but now the titanrans are given respect. This isn't the best pill to swallow considering that the morfils have been harming a good collection of titanrans, even killing some. But as long as they agree to stop harming each other races, perhaps agree to help against Zionthor at a good time, then they shall be united when the time is right. In the end, both the morfils and titanrans use their vehicles to make their way back home, well their former home of the ruins. Even all the morfils that were out and about that couldn’t join the battle on earth, even they went back to with the other morfils. Most of them lose interest in finding any of the elements, focusing on redefining themselves to which Pod did provide advice which then spreads from morfil to morfil. And so, the rest of the time consists of the legion trying to help the public despite the public not being impressed with the legion. Even though the servicemen do a good job using their vehicles to collect and save as many people as possible, the legion still helped but it was very little, and the damage has already been done. As the legion sits on the roof with the flood around them, to comfort their negative energy, Pod decides to explain everything that has happened since he left the legion. He has been on the lookout for Mechajaw for ages, even keeping Zionthor in mind just in case. He thought he should be the only morfil only to find out that other morfils can be like him, only Mechajaw is the problem and now he is sorted. Yes, Zionthor is still around but Pod has a sense of relief at the same time, he has never been closer to acting like Mechajaw as Mechajaw was beaten by him. The legion explains everything too, but Pod could already guess. Mike was demoted, the titanrans allied with the legion as they are still cloning, Retron tried to bring his defences and the world and other planets haven't been great with the legion. Despite the success, going downhill has gone further downhill. The next day or two however would be some of the worst days for so many people. Firstly, Mike has his funeral, one which both the base and most of the public went to give their respect to a general who did a lot for the earth, despite not being keen on the legion again. Even Dyon despite trying to help is mostly neglected by many races, not wanting Dyon to help considering his lack of activity, and despite some progress and help. Dyon does decide to back off, and so aside from one or two situations, he would like to resolve. He mainly tries to find Zionthor and any other allies to at least help the universe go into a phase of peace. With so many bodies around, many planets have their way of sorting them out. Earth resolves this by disintegrating some and reserving some for research (which they did with any new alien). After all, Mechajaw reached the heights he did because Pod tried to face Mechajaw, and Mechajaw got Pod's power. Over time, Pod does feel responsible, always keen to retain life but instead is part of the course of a massive massacre. Because of this responsibility, and with no Mike to defend the legion, until last time where after Torrid's attacks. Mike acted as a strong defence for the legion to keep them going despite the lowered role, but the legion is now forbidden, at a point where both Zammy and Pod are to leave Earth as soon as possible. Nicole tries to divert the attention by stating that Retron could have been responsible for Mike's death considering that Mike was to stop Retron's out-of-control behaviour. And even Retron loses most of the power in his position at a point where the netro based defences have also been abolished. Not to mention trying to shoot at everyone was questionable, there is a lack of evidence to suggest Mike's death was a genocide. So this case was quickly closed, but at least Retron is happy enough that the legion can not take away any more of his successes, or as he thought. Not to mention Nicole gets demoted down to a private so that Retron can have full control of her. The whole of earth's security is put back to square one, just servicemen, but with fewer numbers and resources. This tragic time ends as Nicole says goodbye to both Zammy and Pod. Zammy and Pod both agree to go and find Zionthor. Even Zammy asks if they could help together but Pod would prefer to be alone, allowing more opportunities to find Zionthor, while Dyon is at it. Before the legion part ways, Pod does see the legion is flawed no thanks to Mike's death and other aspects but at the same time realises that he cannot be mad at the legion forever. This keeps the friendship mutual, and so Pod leaves, and so does Zammy, in their crafts. Zammy lost the original Awesome Atone no thanks to the flooding (and Nicole’s old four-by-four was shredded by water too). But he does make yet another one, and Zammy makes Pod another monologue, a ship with which Pod is already familiar, which gives Pod the chance to fly anywhere. Pod has also been jaded by the fact that from the prior investigation and even court cases, Pod does admit that like the legion being responsible for Torrid. Pod alone was responsible for Mechajaw, after all, Mechajaw got Pod’s power no thanks to Pod’s own choices. This adds to the slightly mended friendship between Pod and the legion, knowing that Pod is no better, only everyone together is better than an individual thinking they have more authority than others. Finally, before Pod leaves Earth, he uses his craft to go near the north of the world to have another look at some orcas. After spotting a colony, Pod places his craft on some ice, and he gently goes underwater, able to communicate with the orcas. The orcas provide some calls back, gentle ones, the orcas despite wondering how Pod is small and still able to make these calls, the connection were mutual. Pod while looking at them enables his memories to become clearer, remembering what it was like to swim slowly through a blue beautiful void. Pod then gets out of the water, using his powers to remove any moisture from himself, happy to see that there are free orcas around who are still happy, and hopefully, the morfils can now be happy too. Similar to the legion, immense guilt is now present as both Torrid’s and Mechajaw’s attacks had led to a lot of deaths. With the latter being far worse, something to which the legion has been keen to reduce alongside persisting their desires. The investigations have noticed that the legion should have been more involved in the ‘resident saving’ aspect than everyone fighting the foes if anything Dyon is often left to do the saving nearly all on his own, multiple planets, not just Earth. While on this Zionthor searching quest, Zammy is also hoping to win back some attention by going from planet to planet. But considering what many are thinking of the legion right now, who knows what the legion will be able to gain from anything?
