~Chapter 1 - an introduction to a clan

Earth is a funny planet isn't it, imagine this world but in the future, where technology has advanced as well as an alien team being formed on Earth. The latter sounds odd, doesn't it? This is an earth that has reverted to Pangea, most of the land is one, and humanity still lives as one, with a singular base protecting the whole land, with only one political group overseeing the whole world, with a president ruling the whole world too. The world does have your average level of crime and still has a variety of lands from forests, mountains and even the artic is still there. But back to the team, they are called the Haphazard Legion, led by a human, Captain Nicole but following her is a Morfil and an Evolone, called Pod and Arvin. Nicole is a late thirties brunette who wears her type of green uniform, light with knee pads, elbow pads and well armoured, Pod is a humanoid killer whale who wears a repainted suit that is flexible and soft yet also can absorb damage well, made up of cyan and has some similar pattern features of a diving suit. Arvin on the other hand doesn’t wear anything, he bears soft fur, which is a nice dark brown, looking like a pine marten, and also doesn’t speak. They are about to fight some Flamo’s, basically, dragons but human-sized with dark blue skin and jeans, wandering around the hills of the earth, trying to find something for who hired them, we will meet him very soon. But the legion has seen the Flamo’s, and as normal, they will fight them and then aim to confront them, try and get answers from them. They are within a spare area of earth, no witnesses, a nice wide field with massive hills all around, with a tree now and again, with a boulder here and there. As they fight, they take down their own Flamo’s, and there are seven of them, Nicole likes to keep her foes at a distance, shooting at them using her stun-based laser, the opposite to her fatal laser, the former is light blue, but the latter is a darker blue, shooting a full beam from her rifle which is almost as round as a cannon. She does have other abilities at her disposal like a grenade launcher (which can also shoot concussions which can deter either human senses or technology), and first aid skills alongside a riot shield which she can summon on the dime. It is also strong enough to absorb a missile heading to her thanks to magnetic forces to deter the force. Pod while seeing signs of fire, ice and water activity around the trident, he is mainly an up-close fighter, not knowing his trident properly yet, he uses it like a spear and an axe at the same time. After all, the trident has a short handle, and the left and right pointers are not only curved but there are edges too, enabling swinging movements that can be effective. Pod as a morfil is only very tough, able to withstand damage such as the fire breathed by the flamos, and so he is up close when fighting his two Flamos. Finally, Arvin can temporarily alter any of his body features, allowing him to have a variety of abilities, but as he is up close to his Flamos, he makes his claws larger, trying to swing at the Flamos while running around as he makes his legs faster. All of them can fight well, but as said by Nicole numerous times, they are struggling to work together, so tied up with the foes they are fighting, so Nicole tries to help by firing a concussion grenade at one of Pod’s Flamo’s, stalling him while Pod effortlessly takes down the others.  Nicole uses her stun laser to shoot at Arvin’s flamo’s via the wings, allowing Arvin a good shot as he charges his own body, and unleashes green energy from his mouth, mildly burning the Flamo. There is now one more left, and Pod throws the trident at it, nearly hitting Nicole, shocking her, but the Flamo is stuck against a rock as the trident keeps him still with his head in between the points.  While the fight is over, Nicole confronts the Flamo, asking why the a need for this attack. The Flamo’s admit they were sent to try and find certain forms of energy, and they were told to take down anyone who is a fighter along the way. This is an answer that the legion has been getting from anyone they had to fight from the stars, confusing them. Nicole provides mercy and tells them to leave the planet otherwise they would have to be locked away on Earth, or worse. And so, the Flamo’s fly away to their ship, which is alike a giant metallic Flamo but horizontal, mainly blue with Flamo face and dragon wing-shaped fins on both sides. The vehicle then charges up and flies up, kept an eye on by the legion, and will be kept out for thanks to Earth’s atmospheric activity tracker. Nicole then turns to look at both Pod and Arvin, disappointed in them and then tells them to get back in her four-by-four. A jeep-like car but more armoured, hers is a darker green compared to the lighter green jeeps which are more common around the base. All the legion members are decent fighters, but they all lack teamwork.  Arvin is still trying to find ways to use his abilities, Pod has trust issues and Nicole treats her team members as assets for her bidding rather than mates she can work with. In the end, the Flamo’s do lose the fight, and they do admit that they were sent to do this task on earth to find something, this rings a few bells in Pod's head, but ultimately the Flamo’s fight again and leave both quickly and aggressively, refusing to provide any more answers. Despite the limited information, a pattern is created, and other aliens have said something similar.  Regardless, they go and make their way to the base in Nicole’s four-by-four, where we do meet another potential member of this team.

~Chapter 2 – Our hero?

We now meet Zammy; anti-social, a fan of technology, and charismatic towards himself, five-foot-tall, normal build, wearing a normal blue top and denim jeans, alongside a cool blue cap and light blue tinted sunglasses. He is currently a weapons engineer at Earth's base. While he is meant to help create more of what currently exists, he is creating his weapons to get himself more of an audience despite not wanting to get close to anyone. When he isn’t with the technology, occasionally there are times when he likes to watch a sunset, it has been one thing that keeps Zammy going, keeping him motivated, enabling time to think about the future, whether they are gadget ideas or anything else grander.  He has invented all sorts such as blunt weapons that coat around your arm and even a full metallic suit, Now he has created a forearm shooter that can spray lightning, and he is going to try and pitch it to some of the president's men, or politicians for short. He mainly creates gadgets in his own house, but he also uses the time when he works at the base, sometimes creating more of what currently exists like laser guns (the kind which you shoot for ages but if fired too many times, it will heat up and require a self-charge before its ready for action again shortly after). He always likes to make progress towards his work, which also includes his aircraft, knowing every inch of his creations. While Zammy did try and explain how unique this new invention is as well as his prior ones, they still got rejected, mainly because of the amount of electricity needed to fuel these. But what Zammy can't quite reveal yet is that he's an alien who can produce his lightning, managing to get away with being a grey-skinned human.  As he grew up in an orphanage of humans, revealing no powers, no one thought he was alien despite his skin, acting like a human since his years as a toddler.  And so, he is now back to square one, and Zammy is back at his table, surrounded by multiple gadget makers at their thick blue desks, sharing the same floor and wall colour as everywhere else within the base, with their greyish greens. Zammy sits down and wonders what to do next, but that is where his repetitive routine gets him down, being belittled by other people once again, in this case, one of the servicemen. What are servicemen you ask? Essentially nearly every emergency service in one collective, the police, army, ambulance and firemen all in one. They all wear a jade green body suit which is well armoured with a belt to manage all their tools and a visor around the front of their head. There is one however who has been picking on him before, and Zammy has had enough, and he grabs hold of his third and final invention and zaps the serviceman with it. Retron, the head of Earth's security witnesses this, gets hold of Zammy and aims to throw him out. Retron despite running on metallic prosthetic legs and a crutch, rushes Zammy through the base, grabbing Zammy around the shoulder while also hurt by the grip. General Mike Gunner, in charge of the base however sees this, and so aims to try and get hold of Zammy from Retron. Retron is eager to fire Zammy for assault and chuck him out of the base, he likes to stick to his own rules, not always liking Mike’s slight bending of rules, but Zammy’s situation could be a misunderstanding. Mike and Retron are both in their seventies, Mike always wears a thick jumper and long sleeve with good body warmth alongside good boots, a bald head and a robotic hand. Retron on the other hand wears his old army uniform, full of medals, with shiny trousers, smart shoes which also suit outdoors, grey hair alongside a damaged eye with no pupil. Even though no one knows that Zammy is an alien, Retron can almost see this in Zammy, adding to Retron's distaste for Zammy. Retron is not a fan of alien minorities, they caused Retron's injuries, taking away Retron's ability to fight, or at least reducing it significantly. Regardless, Mike nicely takes Zammy from Retron, Retron gets called in because there is some activity in space going on, too close to the Earth, and Mike takes Zammy to his office, where both of them can have a chat. While Zammy did zap someone, Mike gives Zammy a small telling off, but he also believes in giving chances to others after wrongdoings.

~Chapter 3 – To the head’s office

The office has been entered, the only room in the base which uses different colour walls and floors, the floor is soft, and Mike has cool wallpaper, earth-themed yet still formal, wowing anyone who would enter. Not to mention the many certificates he has earned, and a portrait of him, Retron and the president.  As they sit down, Mike and Zammy have a good chat, so good that Zammy has never met a nicer person. Mike has gone on to say that he created a secretive team, that solves alien-based missions out of the public eye, something which sounds cool, especially for Zammy. As Mike is the founder of the legion, Mike pitched this team to the president, thinking that the help beyond the stars could help defend Earth and perhaps other worlds. Especially as Pod was the first alien ally for the earth, seeing that not all aliens are hostile, and despite the negative possibilities, it is an idea that has potential, and this is why the legion is under the radar for now, one step at a time. Zammy even warms up to Mike quickly at a point when Zammy readily admits that he’s an alien, to which Mike thinks that was the case, but thinks of it as alright, if not cool because it would certainly work with the fact that there are some aliens in the team, making Zammy more of a fit. Zammy explains that he can not only produce his lightning but can store it in a variety of gadgets, Mike picks up on this and writes this as a message which is then sent to the legion once Zammy and the legion meet face to face. And so, as Mike and Zammy go to the formally named ‘legion building’, Mike talks more about each member of the legion...so far. Before Zammy sees the legion, Nicole has a small rant with Pod and Arvin, about how they are lacking teamwork, after fighting their own Flamo's Instead of working together to fight them all. Arvin is disappointed and Pod is angered, wondering why he is even staying in the base if he hasn’t been given a reason to trust them, considering he used to be part of a clan that has given him such a rough time. It also doesn’t make it easier that Pod feels like he is a burden to be genetically modified to fight, he hasn’t had a proper positive moment recently at a point where he has been disliking himself. Instead of talking to them calmly, she has an idea to have another practice in the base and see if they can cooperate, but Arvin and Pod are getting tired of being shouted at. And so, Zammy is taken to the legion, entering the legion building which is bluer than the base and more modern. It has a TV, a couple of sofas, very few windows and areas for combat practice, such as one which is about to be used. But when Zammy arrives, there is a mixed reaction, Arvin is excited to have a new member, plus Zammy looks like someone who is into technology like Arvin is. Pod however is sceptical, and Nicole is keeping an open mind. As Mike leaves Zammy with the legion, Nicole wonders about Zammy (alongside the others), and Mike states that all the relevant information will be provided. Mike then asks how the mission was earlier, and Nicole explains that the lack of teamwork is making it faulty, the end goals are successful but the journey there is rough, even nearly resulting in failures. Mike reassures Nicole that it will all get better with practice, and perhaps be a bit nicer with the legion, even Mike quickly says hello to both Pod and Arvin, and both smile and say hello back, wishing Mike stays. Even though they say that the whole legion approach when resolving danger is still flawed, that is where Mike thought that Zammy would help bring the team into a new era. Mike puts Zammy with the legion as Zammy finds Mike comforting, but now he is thrown into a trial as Mike leaves, making Zammy uneasy. Before Mike leaves the legion, Mike orders some servicemen to take Zammy's gadgets to the legion's building so that Zammy has his full potential before the trial begins. The legion was already about to perform the teamwork by getting them all into the obstacle room, where they could practise taking down a goon while remaining in cover. This throws Zammy off the rails, no conversation yet, but the trial is starting no thanks to Nicole's orders. Nicole for some time has been slightly on edge, feeling like the past few days have been lacking in progress, and she is after progress because she wants to be a figure of significant change, pleasing her ancestors who were also soldiers, and so far, she has felt like she isn’t part of her family tree, even the last time she saw her parents, they were mainly disappointed in her due to her past actions before becoming a soldier. The barriers are up, and a practice robot is around, walking around on four mechanical legs and only shooting stun-based lasers. The trial starts well with each legion member (with Zammy somewhat being added to the legion immediately). (And so, the trial begins, now they are all at the training corner, it starts to shape shift, barriers are up and a prototype robot firing at them to no end. The goal is to try and take it down from behind, despite its own body being able to turn three hundred and sixty degrees, and so the legion must advance. Nicole makes it to a barrier ahead thanks to using her riot shield, Arvin tries to charge up his body to fire green energy from his mouth, trying to shoot and distract the robot, and it turns to make the robot focus on Arvin mildly, and even Pod jumps in the way to take the stun-laser instead of Arvin. Distracted, Nicole starts to get behind the robot. However, Nicole states to Zammy that he can fire his lightning blaster carefully while moving ahead, but Zammy doesn’t want to be undermined, he is going to do something that he thinks makes him feel better, hacking through the floor to shut down the whole operation. So he unplugs one of the wiring from the floor, stopping the whole operation, the robot now has no wireless connection, shutting it down before Nicole was about to take a shot, even puzzling both Pod and Arvin as they were about to advance, and even the barriers shut down, alongside the transparent walls around them. Zammy declares himself to be a winner, holding the unplugged wire despite being a team effort, annoying the lot and getting very close to taking down the goon with some teamwork. The legion is not impressed with this move from Zammy, and as a response, Zammy shows himself off, showing off how cool he thinks he is, needing nobody. After Zammy annoys the lot, Pod is the most triggered, and so to see if Zammy’s ego is as high as it is, Pod challenges Zammy to a fight, and Zammy excepts, Zammy puts on both his lightning blasters and blunt arm weapons again (as he and Mike brought those to the legion’s building earlier), and Pod puts his trident aside and then runs at Zammy. Zammy panics, trying to shoot at Pod, Pod is somewhat caught by the lightning but Pod then hits Zammy back slightly, making Zammy keen to hit Pod back, but Pod counters it with a swoop to get Zammy’s punch out the way so Pod can punch Zammy back. Zammy then tries to zap Pod, and while Pod does get zapped, Zammy is then pushed to the ground and thrown towards the wall near the door, finishing the fight. Nicole and Arvin get in the way of Pod to calm Pod down, as Zammy struggles to get up. But by the ability of martial arts alone, Pod beats Zammy by a mile, upsetting Zammy, and removing himself from the building. Nicole then tells off Pod for such behaviour, Pod is about to explain the main reason for disliking Zammy thus far but ultimately refers to Zammy as simply immature, and unworthy to join the legion. The legion must work otherwise the president of the whole earth will discontinue this new idea of security from Mike, meaning Pod, Arvin and even Zammy would have to be forced off the earth and find elsewhere.  Mike was about to see how the legion was doing so far, often checking on them, but he decided to follow Zammy while also keeping on tabs the many base updates he often gets

~Chapter 4 – A villainous meeting

So, you remember Retron hearing about atmospheric activity within the skies of the Earth? This is because there is a massive ship that is about to cause a ruckus. Earlier, the ship's owner, Orphion (leader of the netrobots) did go and see who he somewhat represents; Zionthor. Zionthor has the best biology compared to any other race, is very tough, fast and can live for ages. Not only that but he has got loads of races to join his cause, running the Deepa Fortress where he and his allies relax or train, and it is mainly located in underspace, which is where you can visit if you send a spaceship downwards, leading to an area full of energetic activity, making him very hard to find whether you have senses or trying to go through underspace itself. The Deepa Fortress is your average stone castle, but it has been made up of a form of cosmic obsidian which often exerts heat until it runs out, making the castle black, and it was a material Zionthor’s race; the naravas used to use often. There is more to it, there is a training room, you can eat anywhere, and a council room for anyone to discuss when meetings occur alongside some old natural land which is attached to this floating fortress, even a force field to help the whole craft adapt some of the most dangerous places in the universe. Both Orphion and Zionthor both want a form of energy called the life force. Orphion wants it to add numbers to his race of netrobots, but Zionthor wants it for a much bigger purpose, and so the deal is made. Both Zionthor and Orphion have known each other for more than a hundred years, while Zionthor has many allies under his belt, Orphion is experienced, offering to join Zionthor as a way to protect his race (without knowing that Zionthor is planning to get rid of Orphion and the netrobots once Zionthor has reached a certain point of power). But Orphion is aware that Zionthor is in charge and will do anything to the best of his efforts without the need for Zionthor’s extra assistance, they don’t see each other much but Orphion is someone who Zionthor has had less conflict with compared to others allies. Going back to the ‘evil’ plan, the life force has been tracked to be on Earth thanks to the netrobots using a minor trace of the life force from another planet they previously invaded, and now the earth is next. The netrobots thanks to their analytical technology from Orphion’s cruiser (also known as the netromancer), the main source of the life force is around a mountain called Mount LeBon, somewhere which has been kept an eye on and defended by the base of earth.  The netromancer is the size of a cruise ship, mainly rectangular, mixing between dark grey and dark green, with one large windscreen at the front, four parts exhaust parts of the back engine alongside large wings on either side. If you are wondering why Zionthor is staying in his fortress whilst he sends many off to do his bidding? It's because he is after forms of energy that require good condition body-wise, and so he needs to be free of any significant injury, and considering how strong he is, his foes will be keen to scar him badly.

~Chapter 5 – The battle begins

Meanwhile, Zammy has locked himself in a changing room, Mike saw Zammy running off earlier, so Mike after tracking down Zammy tries to speak with Zammy, getting him to give the legion another chance after Nicole explains to Mike earlier what happened. Mike could see that Zammy likes the attention, and so with a new threat happening to the earth, Mike explains that Zammy could be a very useful addition to the legion, even asking what Zammy has that the others do not. As Zammy wants an audience for him and his gadgets, he is keen to provide them with a sense of purpose whether it's making technology better as well as making himself godly, keen to make himself untouchable so he doesn't get belittled again. Even then, he would only be heroic for his power rather than for the safety of others. Zammy then goes on to explain that he does have a vehicle, meaning to be a flying one, but it is on wheels for now. This makes Mike pleased as Retron texted Mike earlier saying that none of the servicemen's vehicles shall be provided to the legion, not even any backup from any servicemen (only running on Nicole’s four-by-four while useful would be inferior to what kind of vehicle Zammy has made, especially when Zammy showed Mike some digital visuals for what it is like and what it can do). Zammy eventually sees himself as useful, and so is willing to give the legion another shot, able to show off once more, Mike tries to explain to Zammy that Nicole and Pod are not a fan of show-offs and that Zammy would require some training during the journey, to which Zammy scoffs at behind Mike’s back as Mike leads Zammy back to the legion, following Mike anyway, seeing a small chance that he could make himself more significant again. As the servicemen get themselves ready, Mike quickly gets Zammy back with the legion. Nicole and Pod are annoyed, but Mike eases them and talks about how Zammy is going to be more willing to follow. Plus, more to the team means better and Zammy has his vehicle which has already arrived at the base Mike ordered his servicemen to get to Zammy’s home and drop off the vehicle near the legion building, out of everyone’s knowledge. And so, with the legion now having their vehicle after Retron refused to provide one, not to mention Nicole’s four-by-four being too small, Zammy and the rest go the vehicle. The vehicle is called the ‘Awesome Atone’, and Zammy talks about every aspect of the vehicle, that the wheels are good for any terrain, it has a boat mode for water, the driving is as simple as a set of child's-play buttons, a variety of turrets which all can shoot lightning and there is space for invention. The vehicle itself is bigger than a double-deck bus, it is long with a visa that goes from one side of the front to the other, with both a side and back opening. It is a nice darker blue which matches the colour of Zammy’s suit, and there are massive two thick rail parts on either side that would be used for landing, but for now, act as where the wheels are a part of. These temporary wheels are tractor-sized but more like car ones, with two engines at the back of the end of the railing alongside two stubs at the front of the railing to balance the between the front and back of the ship. All of this sounds good to Nicole, and so she talks about her next plan, she will drive, Pod will keep a look out and Zammy and Arvin can create a gadget to absorb the power of the life force. Considering Zammy can create technology to absorb something as powerful as lightning, his form of lightning is slightly different compared to what the sky can produce, Zammy’s power is bluer and more powerful despite being able to vary between stun or fatal levels. Zammy was reluctant and wanted to drive (even Arvin wishes he could drive but cannot), and Nicole will say that in other scenarios Zammy will be able to drive or pilot. But right now, Nicole and Pod do not invent, so Zammy is forced into the gadget-creating role, reluctant to work with Arvin, despite Arvin looking forward to it, and both Zammy and Arvin are to use a collection of metal scraps and see what can be made, with all of this fitting in the ceiling draws of the Awesome Atone. As the base starts getting ready, every serviceman is contacted digitally about a plan. Thanks to Earth's base’s hacking, that's where they find out that Orphion is after the life force and wants to create more netrobots using that form of energy, alongside liquid netro which can be used to form weapons and netrobot bodies, but no life force means no ‘living’ netrobots. Netro is the most powerful metal to exist in the universe, not only the strongest and most withstanding but it can be morphed into various tech when used correctly, it comes from the stars. Additionally, for the plan to work, Orphion does need a whole planet so he can form many netrobots at once, instead of forming very few netrobots on an island etcetera. But Orphion is eager to wipe away Earth's security first, so the base will give the netrobots a fight, keeping them in one area. Mike also says to Retron that the legion will be the one to go to the life force, giving them a role to which Retron reluctantly agrees, and Retron can help with the battle like in his old days. The legion has their destination, knowing what every step of the journey is like and what to do. They leave the fields around the base, then go through the sea via the Arctic and then arrive in another country full of mountains and trees to find Mount Lebon. This is a mountain that Pod is mainly familiar with when the life force one day landed on Earth via an unknown escape pod, a set of defences was built around the mountain, to protect a form of energy so powerful that it needed to be kept somewhere safe, especially as the earth has been targeted by aliens for years. The escape pods that had Pod then the life force are all kept by Earth for research, even the escape pads that lead Zammy and Arvin to Earth. All varied such as the life force coming in a large escape pod, rectangular, lime green with a green booster at the back, Arvin’s was a silver cylinder-like one, Zammy’s was dark blue and was charged by lightning whilst its circular and Pod’s was edgy, made of a variety of rusty scrap metals.  While the mountains do have defences, they aren’t enough to take on an army, even with the legion assisting the defences, adding to why the base and the legion building are the best places for the form of energy, a room that can hide the element more so and with a whole army and many vehicles protecting the life force instead. Even if the energy had to be kept safe, there is little time or opportunity to research it despite some progress, other aspects have been prioritised within planet Earth. Regardless the legion hears from the base that Orphion knows about the mountain after hacking into the Netromancer’s systems, so the legion needs to get the energy out and protect the energy themselves until the netrobots are no longer a threat to Earth. The legion also has their journey planned, going out of the green lands, through the sea then into the Arctic followed by the woods which has Mount Lebon. And so, the legion makes its way, and even the servicemen are ready to battle, forming a perimeter around the base, via many individuals alongside many vehicles too, so it looks like the fight is balanced. Unfortunately, Orphion cannot join the fight, but there are enough netrobots to overthrow the planet as they have done many times before. At the moment, Orphion is trying to upgrade himself, making himself a much more powerful being, enhancing himself while he guides the battle up in his spaceship, the biggest spaceship there is. He is not only guiding the battle but also keeping tabs on the netrobots who are trying to hack the base’s invisible shields, alongside tracking the progress on two new vehicles, his tanks. These tanks are a very dark green-grey, with hovering parts (with a short flight function) with two small turrets on the top, its main shooter at the top which can also spawn another one on top. These tanks are made up of a much thicker form of netro, it has a main shooter alongside two assisting ones, it is a vehicle that can float, and it also has a device to snatch up the life force and then zoom it back to the ship. For this battle, Mike and Retron have joined the fight, with Retron acting as a sniper and Mike with his special revolver-like laser gun and even his assisting drone. While the legion has their journey, the servicemen and netrobot battle is rough and both sides have a massive set of abilities. The servicemen have two rapid-fire laser guns which can be conjoined into one gun for more concentrated and more powerful hits. They also have a wide set of vehicles such as tanks for powerful blasts, aircraft for air support and four-by-fours to overwhelm the opposite team as they are fast and all in the vehicles are firing.  The Earth’s tanks are your average tank except these have two main shooters that can go further up or down like a normal tank, and both the base’s tanks and the netrobot’s tanks can spin at three sixty degrees, except Earth’s tanks are a lighter green and have only one firing laser turret. There are many other tools the servicemen have such as ball-like gadgets which go deep into the crowds of netrobots and then explode. The servicemen also have net launchers, which not only can trap multiple netrobots but it enables the servicemen to fire at them more easily. Even the servicemen who are attacked up close do have a laser sabre which can hit the netrobots away, similar to Nicole’s blade but longer, and on top of that, the servicemen can switch on a temporary mode within their armour which enables them to deflect any projectiles coming towards them and making them fire back to the netrobots. The netrobots however also have tools of their own, they have blasters that fire more solid projectiles, and equipment to quickly repair any damage and they are also made up of strong armour which makes them require a lot of damage. These netrobots also have their maces for any servicemen they fight up close, smaller versions of Orphion’s primary weapon. They can be used more as a threat up close fact that they can perform speed boosts, zooming away from attacks to charge into servicemen. Their vehicle collection isn’t as big as the servicemen but their aircraft fighters do well to fight the battle in the air as well as adding to the fight on the ground. Finally, there are two more tools, sentry guns which can easily be set up, adding to the fir.epower towards their enemy team on top of their missile launchers which had to be carried but can hit vehicles or large groups. Both Mike and Retron see what kind of abilities the opposite team has, Mike does miss the legion but what is against the netrobots should be enough, Retron however does get bothered that Mike is missing the legion, making Mike a small annoyance for Retron. Retron and Mike do have some tricks up their sleeve too, such as Retron’s metallic legs to stamp on any netrobots alongside his sniper which can work either from far away or close quarters, not only able to fire a lot of beams at once but he can get rid of rows of Netrobots. Mike not only has his drone which is an experiment still in development, but as he flies and shoots lasers, it is successful. Regarding Mike’s pistol, a normal laser pistol is quick but can be weak, but his revolver is slower the blasts can be powerful, it too can shoot through multiple netrobots in a row but not as much as Retron’s sniper. Because of the many abilities on both sides, the teams so far are equal, but the battle is kept within the same field, other servicemen have been used to keep any residents away, even taking shelter just in case, and also making sure the base is protected. The legion (as they all apply their tracking chips to help Mike track the legion) watches this as the biggest battle they have ever seen, aside from Pod, who has been involved in many fights in his very long life. The legion watches this from the side windows as if they are watching a modern war movie in four K. As they watch the battle, Zammy explains how cool the view is, but he thinks that the servicemen will have a better shot if the base accepts their gadgets, to which Nicole argues by stating that not everything is about him, making Zammy think once again, and then thrown into the task with Arvin. If the legion is to fetch the life force, Zammy and Arvin need to make a machine that can absorb energy at a high level. The life force has been proven to be one thing, and that is the fact that it’s the most powerful form of energy currently within the earth, and it doesn't even belong to the earth. While Arvin is up for the task as he too likes machinery, Zammy tricks Arvin into getting his tools considering Zammy has packed everything within his ship, but instead, he is going to blend all his rejected gadgets.

~Chapter 6 – Inside Awesome Atone

Thanks to Zammy, the Awesome Atone is cloaked, so the netrobots shouldn't be able to find them, they have a big battle to fight after all. After some time, Nicole, Pod and Arvin are intrigued by the ship's design, they can see that it uses the resources of a servicemen's craft but with a couple of adjustments and it even fires turrets of lightning instead of lasers. As Zammy has been caught up by Mike on what abilities each legion member has, Nicole and Pod research what Zammy has, being able to produce his lightning which does interest them, but it is a shame that Zammy is slightly unwise with those powers in the eyes of Nicole and Pod, who see both Zammy and Arvin working at the back of the vehicle. A vehicle that was made so that if the earth continues to fail to give him the attention Zammy wants, then he is willing to go elsewhere, thinking his ship will fix his problems. This is another aspect that Mike did learn about Zammy which is explained to the legion, which makes the legion curious about Zammy, but Pod is mainly cynical towards Zammy after earlier. Nicole wonders why Pod has a bad taste from Zammy, and it's because Pod has been hindered by one figure before, another morfil like he is. Pod was led by a nasty morfil, Mechajaw, who too was power-obsessed, even Pod had thoughts that if Zammy goes too far, he needs to be brought down before any harm comes to anyone. Nicole does see where Pod is coming from but tells him to keep an open mind, Zammy is too naive to be considered a foe at this point. After asking for more about Mechajaw, Pod first admits that he is led by Zionthor, a well-known evil dictator, making the universe go into fear which shocks Nicole, especially as both Zionthor and Mechajaw go from planet to planet, really seeing how unsafe the universe is, it’s not just earth getting stepped on. With all these arrivals to earth searching for energy, this is something Pod has only heard from passing conversations, trying to figure out what it means. However, this conversation is cut short by the fact that Arvin pauses the progress of the 'energy absorbing machine' to see what Zammy is up to. Zammy then gets defensive, moving Arvin aside forcefully, to which Pod joins this clash by defending Arvin and nearly hurting Zammy again, but Nicole's voice echoes across the ship as she shouts at them all to stop, stopping the clash while still driving. This makes the legion get back to their roles, Zammy and Pod certainly find each other annoying, but Arvin remains forgiving and optimistic, but that curious nature he has does need to knuckle down. Even this clash finishes off as Nicole tells Zammy to discontinue the progress towards the suit and help Arvin instead, feeling guilty to have to work with someone whom he could have accidentally hurt, but Arvin shows that he is cool with Zammy, which eases Zammy into a new task, Arvin is more forgivable compared to the others in the legion. So far, he only managed to add the blunt arm weapons within the arms of the suit, but the lightning blasters remain separate, making him unprepared for any combat situation later.

~Chapter 7 - Dyon’s introduction

In another world, Waveron, a planet consisting of massive sea waves with many rocky lands, terror is going all around no thanks to Zionthor’s allies trying to drive a race into extinction. This race is the elasols, creatures which are alike elephant seals, and like this race, other aliens have been inspired by other creatures on other planets at a point where they generate their race if not create better versions of a certain race. In this case, these creatures are elephant seals but can move around better thanks to better muscles and the flippers act more like hands, making them faster and stronger. But despite being a race that hasn’t been used by other races for combating situations for ages, Zionthor’s allies for this specific mission are the morjes, who are a race that consists of alien beings having to run on two-legged robot suits to enable them to roam around and fire at whatever foes they want to fire at. The aliens themselves are in between a purple and blue kind of colour, almost like snakes but with multiple tales, and their suits are dark green with many machine gun combinations, six feet and the suit is made up of many metallic plates, even a windscreen too. Before the victims suffer more, another heroic figure called Dyon comes in to turn the tide of the fight. Dyon gives the elasols time to escape while Dyon uses a wide range of abilities to fight the morjes, mainly destroying the suit’s weaponry to enable the morjes to leave the planet more easily. Dyon has many long-range based attacks, being able to spawn machine guns from all over his body, shooting multiple netro lasers which are always fatal but Dyon knows how to use them well (he is a very good shot too), for instance, firing at the robotic legs of the morjes suit, and Dyon only shoots the legs a few times to make them useless. Dyon can also fire missiles from his back, as many as he likes, but he only uses a couple of them to knock some of the morjes back and even uses his laser eyes which he can use to chop away any guns that are attached to the morjes. So far, he had won against eight of them, but there are eight more, taking some of them down with the same methods, but he has other tricks up his sleeve. He is also very strong and fast, his body is made up of multiple exoskeletons, making him not only very tough but can also alter his body weight to make him lighter or heavier whenever it is needed, and his body has many engine parts around him, enabling him to perform many speed boosts in any direction. This battle is done, and all this time, thanks to his other ability to keep track of various activities on various planets thanks to technology like recording-based tech or sensing-based machinery like satellites, and earlier. He senses that the whole netrobot team fighting the earth, and he sees this as unfair, as he senses other bad activity going on within various other planets. But he decides that the netrobots need to be sorted out first, and so he zooms up to the sky at top speed, being able to nearly reach the speed of light depending on how he alters his engines. Because of the morjes suit being able to possess netro-based tech which did hit Dyon a few times, he finds a star, crushes it and his body regenerates, crushing a star brings back all the missing parts of his body and overall repairs himself, and now he makes his way to the earth, full speed. Dyon is part of a race you already know, but he is far more unique, mainly a slightly dark blue being, except his face, hands and feet are turquoise. But regardless of colour, he is made up of the same type of metal, and an extremely hard metal at that, a robotic being with engine parts all over his body, with arms and legs that bend like clockwork.

~Chapter 8 - Netrobots fight the legion

The netrobot battle against the servicemen rages on, not just on the physical ground but also via the computers too. The base is identifying that the netrobots are trying to shut down the shielding of the base, resulting in a hacking battle between opponents, even one of the netrobots does see signs of a hidden vehicle scooting away from the battle. They notify Orphion about this, and so Orphion orders some of his troops to make their way to that vehicle once the location is clear enough, but they also warn each other again about their greatest foe, who could be on their tails at any minute. And sadly for Orphion, Dyon comes about, arriving at the battle at high speed. While the servicemen, Mike and Retron are surprised by this, thinking this is a netro wildcard, the netrobots, however, are scared, and rightfully so, Dyon zooms around to not only knock down multiple netrobots at once like bowling pins thanks to his hide speed, even breaking through most of the netrobots. He even tears a few of them apart, all of this while firing at the netrobots around him using his three different types of projectiles. Mike is pleased to get an advantage, and the servicemen start to advance in confidence, but Retron is disappointed that Earth seems weak against these netrobots. To stop this wildcard for the earth, Orphion orders some of the netro fighter crafts to fire at Dyon and drive him out of the battle, and so Dyon is getting shot at by many netro fighters, even some of the netrobots on the ground try and use their long-range abilities to get Dyon away. These netro fighters are somewhat rectangular except the front of the prism us has a smaller face, making the ship almost like a ramp. The rest of it has similar long wings to the netromancer, except these ships are only bigger than a jeep, even similar back engine parts as the netromancer, alongside its shooters only coming from the underbelly. This somewhat works because Dyon has been hit too many times already, and shots like these will diminish his weapons, engines or flight, so he flies away from the battle to fight the netro fighters alone, even away from public areas, resulting in a dog fight, and so the earth has lost it’s a temporary boost of hope. Back to the Haphazard legion, they have gone from the base's land into the mountains, and they all sit and carry on their tasks, but then, four airborne netro fighters appear, firing at the Awesome Atone, spooking everyone.  Nicole without hesitation provides a few orders, like Zammy continuing the drive, Pod actively leaping towards the fighters with Arvin's assistance, and Nicole acting as a long-range fighter, firing her laser gun while on the roof of the vehicle, with the Awesome Atone's weapons getting fired by Zammy pressing the buttons of the vehicle's console, trying to activate auto-drive and fire the lightning turrets.  Without expecting, the Awesome Atone gets fired at, nearly tipping the vehicle, but then the following shot does, making the vehicle go on its side, making the legion wonder what to do. It was three netro crafts going after the legion, this puzzled the legion because the vehicle was cloaked. But if they were found out, this made Nicole worry that this kind of hacking could affect other things like when Mike texted Nicole talking about the base’s shields getting hacked into, risking the protection of the base. Regardless, Nicole gets Zammy out of the vehicle, she fires at the crafts while using the vehicle as cover, even Arvin can project his green energy to act as another laser while Pod is to use his strength to get the vehicle upright. Zammy was told to assist with firing at the crafts but he thought of an idea that if he is ready at the wheel, then they can all drive off, Nicole has not only considered this idea but she states that Zammy would have to be at the wheel later because Nicole, Arvin, Pod and the vehicle will all be less protected. And so Zammy goes to leave the wheel, Pod starts to straighten the vehicle upright and Zammy starts firing lightning alongside Nicole and Arvin, as the vehicle tips over, there are a couple of ditches nearby, and so that is used for cover. The netrobots go from firing to afar to then surrounding the legion, now having a pilot each as each ship releases roughly nine netrobots on the ground.  Nicole then transforms her blaster into an arm-hugging weapon, allowing her to use the weapon with one hand while using the other to keep her shield up, protecting herself alongside Arvin and Zammy. Zammy tries to counter this fear of his first fight by performing a lightning strike, It does take down one of the crafts, but he is then pulled back into cover by Nicole, seeing that Zammy performed this move without cover. As she pulled Zammy towards her, she was shot in the side, getting hurt, There was no time for first aid, she would use her determination to keep fighting, but also annoyed that Zammy was not using cover earlier, making her more responsible for everyone’s wellbeing. Eventually, Pod has the vehicle upright, and Nicole pushes Zammy and Arvin to get them all to the vehicle, using her riot shield to cover them three, but Nicole is so forthright that there is no reassurance, it's all shouting. Pod defends the three by finding a nearby boulder and then throws it at one of the netrobot ships, taking it down, and so as Zammy rushes to the pilot seat, another netrobot jumps on the windscreen and rips it off, nearly shooting Zammy until Nicole fires at the netrobot first, telling off Zammy for going off again. The fight is now mostly taking place on the roof of the Awesome Atone, Nicole struggles to fire at the netrobots as she joins the roof, and so gets her shield up, runs to the shooting netrobot and then sidekicks him. She has the strength to do that thanks to her suit giving her some resistance and strength to hit a metallic form, Arvin sees this and nearly delivers a devastating blow to the fallen netrobot but he gets distracted, frustrating Nicole that Arvin needs to finish his first foe before getting onto the next, and so Nicole finishes the job instead, firing at the netrobot who has landed on his back. Pod jumps towards one of the last two netrobot ships, trying to damage it using his trident the ship’s surface is too hard, but it is enough to distract the pilot netrobot, nearly swerving the ship, and so Pod takes advantage of this by using his weight to flip the ship, crashing it into the ground. Zammy on the other hand takes a tad egotistical, zapping a group of netrobots that came from one vehicle, and even Zammy is about to zap the final netrobot ship, but he accidentally hits Pod as he is about to jump towards that ship. Distracted, Zammy is thrown off the Awesome Atone by another netrobot, who lost his weapon no thanks to Arvin summoning tentacles which made that netrobot escape the tentacles. Thrown onto the ground, Zammy is scared, and he tries to whack him away using his lightning blunt arm gadget to whack him away, but then other netrobots start to see this, firing a couple of shots up until they are taken down by Dyon’s lasers. Dyon even fires missiles at the legion’s last netrobot ship, and Dyon gets firing at the netrobot crafts chasing him, so Dyon does fire at them all now he has a good angle, but one shot hits his back, no major damage but the energy is enough to take away his flight for a decent amount of time. Then Dyon helps fire at the rest of the netrobots, considering how Pod was still getting up, Nicole was trying to defend herself, Zammy was shaken by the fighting and Arvin kept going from netrobot to netrobot without looking around enough, the team is a mess. So far, the battle was exciting, but oddly, the teamwork is lacking once again, and the Awesome Atone has stopped in its tracks because of an explosive making the vehicle tip over. Zammy then has an idea to join the fight with his gadgets, even his gadget suit which combines the blunt arm weapons, and the lightning wrist blasters all go together.  But once he steps out of the battle, everything goes pear-shaped, Zammy has never experienced a rough battle like this, and this has made him scared, not knowing what to do. Nicole is furious that Zammy is not sticking to his role, and her orders have not been listened to, but instead of reassuring Zammy, Nicole goes all antagonistic, making Zammy feel worse. Not to mention despite Pod and Arvin being mates, the way they approach the situation without mixing abilities is making the victory harder for everyone. It does eventually get better as Dyon comes to join the fight, he was originally going to help the army of servicemen, but because he goes for cases where he is needed more, this is where he saves the legion from any more trouble, making the legion lack independence. Sadly, a bad laser shot does hit his back which causes him to lose his ability to fly, but this fight is over. Minutes later, Nicole welcomed and thanked Dyon, but was very angry with the legion, even earlier in the fight, a laser shot scraped her side, a small flesh wound that only she could treat thanks to her medical skills. So, Nicole uses the inside of the Awesome Atone herself to give her privacy to treat her injury. The legion is then tasked to get themselves sorted before going back in, even taking the chance to eat. Zammy while trying to recover from his fear does make Arvin sympathetic, but Pod takes the chance to belittle him. Pod compares Zammy to Mechajaw, explaining how he thinks of Zammy as someone who thinks is powerful but isn't. Zammy remembers how Mechajaw was described when he was listening to Pod and Nicole earlier. Arvin does let Pod know that this was too mean-spirited, but Pod thinks it was warranted, and Zammy has another chance to reconsider his actions, even Dyon sees what the team is like, but ultimately chooses to see Nicole instead, now she has treated herself with a massive plaster on her side. As Dyon sees Nicole, Nicole does get puzzled at first but is up for getting to know more about Dyon, information which can be stated with other legion members, plus even worth telling Mike as well, after all, Mike is curious about alien life. Dyon does explain that he too is a netrobot, but an upgraded one and one that is on the side of doing good, like the legion is, trying to reduce crime and violence, but he does it on a universal level.  Not to mention he is made up of the same hardened netro as Orphion’s tanks, and this was because of Dyon’s creator, Zemion, who kept secrets from Orphion. Also making sure Zemion made his netrobot to be the most powerful being around compared to any other netrobot, even Orphion is attempting to apply this hardened metal onto himself as part of his upgrading. Nicole wasn't convinced at first, but after being provided evidence via his holographic projections that Dyon does save many beings which have been broadcasted on many planets, even explaining more on who Orphion is, someone who too is working for Zionthor, and that Orphion has harmed many planets before. Nicole will not only tell all of her allies about him and everything else about him but even Dyon mentions just in case that if he needs proper repairing, he would need a star. Dyon is aware that there is no access to an aircraft, meaning Dyon would have to wait until the energy is all gone from his flight tech, a star would normally get rid of it instantly.  While Pod did get upset earlier that these netrobots are living beings because they do possess life force which emits from the netrobots. This upset Pod because after a rough life, Pod is done taking lives, Pod then decides to go inside the Awesome Atone with Arvin but Dyon does reassure him that these netrobots shouldn't have even been made in the first place, himself included. He will continue helping until a huge level of peace has been reached, mainly once Zionthor is gone, and Zionthor is behind most of the madness in the universe.  Regardless, this break is over and done, the legion decides to continue their way. Because Dyon can listen to any digital audio, he already knows what the legion's plan is.

~Chapter 9 – Orphion gains alliances.

Back to Orphion, thanks to his netrobots, they found out that the ones that were sent to fight the unknown craft didn't live to see another day. This puzzles Orphion, How did four crafts get sorted by a team that has one other craft? To prevent any more netrobot loss, Orphion pauses his upgrade to go and see Zionthor for extra help. He also quickly sees what the progress of the servicemen battle is like, and so far, the netrobots are winning. Sadly, the legion isn’t the only ones struggling, the servicemen have reached their low point, after Dyon’s boost, they have struggled, trying new ways to take down the netrobots but most of them do not help, after all, these netrobots are designed for fighting compared to humans. This makes both Mike and Retron worried, Retron does get annoyed that Mike wishes for alien alliances, as well as Retron, gets worried that a load of humans is incapable against the army of netrobots, making Retron wonder how else humans could improve regarding defending the earth, maybe if they win, the netrobot’s resources could be repurposed. Retron briefly shares this thought, but Mike wants them all to focus on the battle while also seeing that Retron is keen on improving Earth rather than mixing alien capabilities. Even the battle gets to a point where it becomes a competition to defend most of their army while trying to prevent the attack from the netrobots, even Dyon senses how much these people are struggling, had he been unable to help them when he would have. Mike and Nicole also have a quick catch-up, Nicole and the others have had a bad time, and Mike shares his recent experiences too, but all they can do is keep going. Orphion has quickly flown his craft, a netro fighter but slightly bigger for his build, making his way to Zionthor. Zionthor is puzzled by why Orphion has decided to come to the Deepa Fortress this early, so Orphion lands his craft and once he’s out, he explains his request. Zionthor does get hesitant at first to supply help for Orphion, but he thinks of sending his five best fighters who have never lost a fight. Ekron, a caped spy, Mollug, his book-wielding servant, Astroiden, the strongest goon, B, a dual wielder of maces and Ravycon, Zionthor's dangerous pet. Ekron wears a black long cape that can move as if it has limbs, sharp at the bottom alongside bearing grey skin, a blade-like horn in front of his face alongside a spear that has a wooden handle and an alternative end that can hook weapons away. Mollug has darker grey skin, a monkey-like tail, a long dark green coat, and two horns on either side of his head and his book is bigger than a four. Astroiden is dark blue and has green eyes without pupils, eight foot tall, a crocodile-like head plus a black pickaxe which has a blunt and a sharp side. B is more like a hippo and stocky, wearing a greyish-green body suit, and even darker blue skin and bears two long thick maces that can charge up to shoot thicker laser blasts. Ravycon (who cannot speak) is a pale green, has a long snout with sharp teeth and even sharp class to boot as the only four-legged ally out of the lot, he has a tail with a sharp pincer on the end. As part of Zionthor’s allies, all these goons tension to have a similar perspective that while they try and be loyal to Zionthor and often admire him, some are however on edge that if they ever fail, Zionthor might punish them badly. Now, the goons follow Orphion on their ship, on their way to find this mysterious vehicle, whilst also flying on a vehicle of their own which Mollug can summon using his book. These are ‘Book crafts’, your average streamlined spaceship that can fit a good few beings inside, is slightly bigger than a car, a greyish green colour and has two wings on either side of the ship.

~Chapter 10 – Legion at sea

An hour later, the legion is about to enter the sea, and Zammy has the Awesome Atone to go into a boat feature, enabling the ship to float. With no danger, the lot all carry on eating. Zammy thought to stay away from the others by going on the roof of the vehicle considering how much he has annoyed them, Arvin saw, even Dyon, and so they went up to Zammy as Nicole and Pod prepared more food.  Arvin gives Zammy a little push to get Zammy to join and help, and even Dyon explains that Zammy may be flawed and cause some mistakes, but he can make up for them. Zammy is made even better as Arvin pursues Zammy again to join the lot, Zammy is looking for an audience anyway, so why not stick with the legion? And so Zammy is persuaded, and they all eat lunch at the back of the ship, also seeing that the progress of the energy absorption machine is not far off, even being able to see some of the views of the artic once they start to arrive thanks to the speed of the Awesome Atone. This also enabled them to see some orcas in the sea, This does make Pod get a glimpse of a memory, of when he used to be an orca himself, and this makes the others wonder about him. Pod does apologise for disturbing them all as he reacts to some pain in his head and shares the trace of the memory he has, when he used to fight anything without morality, which enables Pod to trust them all a tad more. If he is going to stay on earth for some time, then he must put up with those around him, even Nicole starts to see that everyone around them is real people and not bots that she should boss around. From all of this, Dyon talks about how potentially good they seem, then goes onto a past time when he used to be part of a unified team, only for one but it was worth it to help the universe, and unifying alien races do seem to be one of the better ways to solve problems. Dyon stops there, not wanting to get into specifics, but he does miss his creator who died in that battle, and Dyon is ultimately sad that there has been no other attempt of making a mixed team since that battle, and that was a hundred years ago. At the end of the conversations, after some reflection, Zammy requests to be trained, and so while the trip is still going, they all take the chance to train Zammy on top of the Awesome Atone...once they have all finished their lunch. The training proceeds and they all teach Zammy all sorts of useful tricks, all coming from the alternative fighting styles that each legion member has. Nicole trains Zammy various ways of taking down an opponent alongside gun-fu, knowing how to shoot while fighting someone up close.

Pod knows various ways of hitting, both offensive and defensive, and knows good spots to hit and how to hit hard. Finally, Dyon knows various ways how to counter foes by driving another's throwing power towards themselves or elsewhere, considering Dyon is tough, and Zammy can be with his gadget suit on, this is a more controlled way of fighting. Later on, all three of them teach Zamny how to blend them all, and even the legion considers teaching each other their tricks too, making them all sensei-level fighters. This training is then expanded upon as they all fight Zammy, seeing how well he can fight against the others with the many tricks he learns, and while the first few rounds are faulty, Zammy eventually gets it, making him just as formidable as the others. This is where the likes of Nicole and Pod test what they have learnt with one another too, making themselves pleased with the new tricks up their sleeve as well as being able to train a new member of the team and getting him to a similar level with the rest. Now Zammy has practised the various ways to punch, kick, counter incoming attacks, spin attacks, guard, take down and other quick moves which does make him formidable, even like his fighting skills nearly as much as his gadgets, but the others tell him not to get cocky with them because that could diminish the fighting abilities. The Awesome Atone is now driving through the Arctic's land as the journey progresses, so white it’s blinding, reflecting the sunlight, full of mounds and occasional gaps in the ground. Only to see some of Zionthor's goons ahead of them, making the legion stop the Awesome Atone. At first, Nicole had an idea to confront them, but the goons start to surround the legion in a flash and come up with strategy ideas for killing them, Nicole has a quicker set of ideas, surround the Awesome Atone on the roof and fire long-range attacks throughout, and so that's what they do, and the goons back off, only Mollug and B have the long-range attacks, shooting their blasts of energy. This attack starts to crack the ice below the Awesome Atone, and the vehicle falls through the ice, leaving one end poking upwards, nearly hitting the water, this causes the fighting to be in person as the hole in the ground opens further. Dyon being on the legion's side does give the legion an advantage, but the legion still finds all of this to be hard, not to mention Zammy's training starts to be handy, mainly fighting Ekron, who is a tricky fight as he has a blade at the front of his face, shape-shifting cloak and a spear. Zammy ends up fighting Ekron down at the cracked ice, but as Zammy shoots lightning towards Ekron, Ekron lands on the ice above after his cloak was used to take the lightning but he was still pushed upwards. Zammy uses his lightning to boost himself upwards as he fires the surface beneath him, allowing him to fight Ekron on flatter land. Despite how tricky Ekron is, Zammy tries to remember all the moves he was taught like the different types of punches, and ways to take down opponents while countering attacks too, making Ekron wonder who on earth is he. The other legion members have been doing all sorts too, the other legion members manage to keep climbing and make it to the top of the artic’s main ground, except Nicole who sticks to the Awesome Atone as the nearest and best cover for her as she is being fired at by B. B fires charged fire using his maces, using any mounds of ice as his cover, but Nicole is winning thanks to catching B’s shoulders and arms a few times, Nicole is the most in danger as she may fall off the Awesome Atone if she isn’t careful. Dyon mainly focuses on Mollug, the most powerful goon in the team, firing powerful blasts and even keeping force fields up, and Mollug decides to keep the focus on Dyon. Dyon is trying to avoid Mollug’s fire to avoid any energy disrupting Dyon’s system, he does need to get his flight back after all, and Dyon so far has lost most of his machine gun access after a few shots from Mollug. This leaves Pod and Arvin fighting Astroiden and Ravycon, two duos fighting against each other, Pod and Arvin know that to solve their problem they need to work better. So, they do manage to come up with a couple of teamwork-based attacks such as Arvin firing his life force beam from his mouth to which Pod splits in two using his trident as he puts his beam via the centre of the beam. This pushes back Astroiden and Ravycon, with the latter taking it more, at a point where Ravycon gets angry and leaps towards Arvin to which Pod counters by whacking Ravycon away using the trident. This hits Ravycon into Astroiden, followed by Pod throwing his trident at Astroiden, and as Arvin rode on the thrown trident, he made his jaw more deadly and tries to bite into Astroiden, but it doesn’t do much. Then all the members find chances to shoot at other goons considering who they are mainly fighting such as Nicole firing at Ekron, with Zammy firing at Ravycon, and Dyon firing at Astroiden. This makes them the better team once they attempt teamwork more, and even Dyon rushes to the Awesome Atone to lift it out of the ice before it falls down the massive crack, saving Nicole too. The legion then gets the final wildcard thanks to keeping out for one another and experimenting with mixing their abilities, they eventually come out on top, especially as Dyon gets his flight back, with higher ground, he tries to fire at all the goons, but the goons manage to dodge or protect themselves from any airborne fire and escape their graves by using their teleporting devices to go back to their only destination (teleporting devices which they always wear to instantly take them back to the Deepa fortress, formed by Mollug’s magical book). Zionthor hopes for another success, but the goons have admitted that the legion was not only hard to fight but Dyon is part of the alliance. As Dyon attempted to machine gun all of Zionthor’s goons, Zammy managed to win a round against Ekron, Arvin used his enhanced claws to jab at Ravycon once Pod threw Arvin at Ravycon and Pod also managed to take down Astroiden via a good few punches.Pod also throws Astroiden into some water which is too cold for Astroiden, B takes too many shots from Nicole and Dyon and Mollug can’t stay to fight alone once the others leave the fight. Another mixed alien team was one thing, but Dyon adding to this is another, it's not just the netrobots, it's also Zionthor and his many allies who are bothered by Dyon as well. And so the goons will need time to recover, sent to other missions once they recover, Zionthor now wonders who is working with Dyon, and is also bothered that another mixed alien team could disrupt his goals again.

~Chapter 11 – retreating

With Dyon getting his flight back, he does thank the legion for the time together, but other planets need his help, he will help with issues no one else will do, and so he's off, even helping the ending of the servicemen battle, giving the servicemen an upper hand so that the netrobots retreat earth before they all hide in the depths of space again. Back to the servicemen, they have continued to struggle despite their efforts, they have attempted other methods such as trying to circle the netrobots, but that circle quickly gets broken, and when everyone thought more servicemen were going down, Dyon then comes to save the day. They shoot at multiple netrobots but they are mainly taken down the crafts first, and throwing them towards the netrobots while also trying to avoid damaging the ground (After all, Dyon doesn’t want to be responsible for damage which he cannot pay for, only focusing on damaging the foes). This gives the servicemen the upper hand, using their nets to trap multiple netrobots together, firing and blowing up the netrobots at a point where Orphion recommends the retreat, seeing that Dyon is involved again. It’s better for the netrobots to survive instead of risking their survival, Orphion has to think about what can be done next, and thankfully his tanks can help once all the netrobots return to the main netrobot ship, and as they retreat, the earth continues to fire at the netrobots to show no mercy. The netro aircraft fighters are what gather the netrobots before they all get back onto the netromancer which then leaves at light speed, and even escapes from Dyon, making him wonder where the netrobots are at, their cloaking (being a cruiser in the middle of space) makes it hard for Dyon to navigate, not to mention Orphion’s main ship goes from place to place so the netrobots can confuse anyone for whoever tries to find the netrobots. Regardless, Earth has won the fight, Dyon gives Mike a look, making Mike admire, Dyon knows that Mike originated the legion. Dyon with his work on Earth then flies to help other planets that do not have help.  Mike, Retron and other servicemen then help those who have been injured or have died, even tidying some parts of the battle too like picking up the servicemen’s weapons and even starting to gather the netrobot corpses and their weapons, mainly to keep them away from the public’s hands. Retron despite liking this success is also bothered by Dyon coming in to save everyone when it is normally him, he shares this with Mike, but Mike explains that this is what Earth needs considering the dangers out in space, to which Retron disagrees heavily, thinking earth’s forces can take on any alien threat. Mike then gives Nicole a quick call, and the legion has made it back to land, the same land that shares the life force (well, entering the forest which has the mountain which has the life force). As the legion drives to the mountain, Zammy and Arvin finish off the energy-absorbing machine, allowing each other to get on even more, even Pod sees a better side of Zammy now that Zammy and Arvin are getting on. Sadly, the Awesome Atone stops working, due to the cold and damage it got from earlier, but the Pod bag backs the energy-absorbing machine thanks to attaching straps to the machine, and everyone starts walking to the mountain, they are frustrated about this but no dangers are around and they are well enough to get going on foot. Zammy is scared to leave the vehicle behind but Nicole reassures Zammy nicely that with the base no longer busy, they can come and collect the vehicle shortly. Zammy has always kept his gadgets close to his grasp, and this is one time when he has to leave his magnum opus behind.

~Chapter 12 - Releasing the tanks

Orphion has nearly finished upgrading himself, and he has sent one out of two of his tanks, to a defenceless planet to occupy Dyon so he stays away from the netrobots, defending a defenceless race. Additionally, the netrobots are about to release the other tank elsewhere.  As the netrobots want to use one of the tanks to distract Dyon, getting Dyon to protect a defenceless race, the tank lands on a planet that the netrobots know is defenceless, planet Concro. It consists of a race known as the collabos, the planet consists of concrete, water and moss everywhere, with blocks which pile and reach such heights, making the higher ground consist of fog. The race is made up of a greenish-yellow, with a little horn of their face and their face takes up most of their body, making them lack a torso alongside tiny arms and legs and their fat enables them to bounce from place to place. The tank is coming towards them, on its temporary flight mode until it only hovers when it reaches the ground. The collabos get puzzled at first, but then they all start to run and hide, and the tank starts firing to no end. The tanks are computer controlled but are kept an eye on thanks to the hacking netrobots, and it’s very good programming. This was a race that had attempted to be a race possessing combatting abilities, this has made Zionthor consider getting rid of them, and he has told all his allies about all the races to consider getting rid of, so Orphion knows this planet is an easy target. As the tank attacks, Dyon is there a minute after the attack begins, Dyon is already finishing off a fight with one of Zionthor’s allies, and now he is onto the tank immediately, but what he doesn’t know is that this situation will not be quick. Thanks to Dyon’s analytics, he sees that the tank is made a similar way to himself, made up of an extremely hard form of netro, not only has Dyon struggled to break its shell, but he has been shot a good few times, he is protecting his flight more so than anything else considering he can improvise in many ways, but no flight means less speed and unable to help the next situation. From the shots he had received, he is running out of machine guns, and he can shoot fewer missiles. He also sees that the legion is about to be attacked by a tank of their own, and he cannot do anything about it, not when he is the only one on the planet who can sort out the situation... or he may have thought.

~Chapter 13 - Collecting the life force

After a great number of steps, hidden behind the trees, the legion has found the mountain, nicely shutting down the defences temporarily thanks to Mike giving the legion access across the lands. With the defences down, the legion starts going into the secret entrance of the mountain. When they enter the mountain, they pass the defences, move a rock of a secret exit into the mountain, and down a slope, going from a rocky cove into a land of greenery and lights. It is full of sentinel plants and animal spirits, all slow and friendly. Pod knows that the life force is hidden within a vault under the ground (considering he was involved in placing it there alongside Mike and some servicemen). But as the legion tries and breach the ground, the plants and animal spirits go nuts, and the legion has to work together once more to get the energy-absorbing machine to absorb the life force from the vault and fight off the plants and spirit without killing anything.  The plants and spirits are fought in various ways like Zammy using lightning to get any of them to step back, Pod throwing the spirits aside as well as kicking the plants away, and Arvin forming spikes all around his body which makes the plants and spirits hesitant to fight Arvin. Nicole throws a couple of concussions which also stalls the spirits and vegetation and when Nicole fires a stun-based laser, Zammy fires lightning towards Nicole’s beam, turning it into multiple stun beams going everywhere, stunning a lot of plants and spirits, which impresses Nicole too. Even some of these plants and spirits Pod has seen before, trying to remember if he remembers fighting any of these before, or if any of them are new to him (and some of these creatures they may see in the future). The legion finally has the life force despite it being a struggle to maintain the energy, they escape the mountain on foot as quickly as possible while absorbing or countering any more attacks, sadly making the plants and animal spirits start to fade away now the life force is no longer placed within the mountain. The legion does feel somewhat bad that the vegetation and all the spiritual activity are slowly going, but not only does the life force need far more protection (as a whole base is better than a mountain with some defences) but the plants and spirits can appear in many other places around the universe according to Pod. After all, Pod has been to many planets, and the plants and animal spirits were there as decoration as the life force tried to break free of its containment. The legion is out of the mountain and contacts for a ride back to the base, even picking up the Awesome Atone. Sadly, when the legion thought they saw a servicemen craft, it turned out to be a tank, it has temporary flight, enough to get the tank to the planet until it starts hovering on the ground. A servicemen craft mainly looks like the Awesome Atone except it was a greyish green, with two small wings on either side and it had four small landing parts below. The legion knew they were in trouble, seeing the familiar colours and metal presentation compared to other netrobot vehicles, they saw it as a netro-bolical creation, so the legion started running, and the tank started firing, both the main cannon alongside side cannons, the former which fires powerful blasts, while the former mainly fires netro lasers. With all that running, even zigzagging through the trees for cover, Nicole starts a plan, they must circle the tank, and like the Awesome Atone, they must try and turn it, and if netro technology is sensitive to energy, then firing energy at it might stun it. Zammy with a sense of bravery turns around and quickly zaps the tank as he performs a three-sixty spin, the tank is well zapped, but the tough armour makes the stunning process hard to perform. They all start firing the energy more and more, while also dodging the tank’s projections, it is even starting to fire missiles and zoom around to make it harder to hit, and even three more main cannons start to layer on top of one another, enabling more main cannons to start firing, making it hard for the legion. Nicole then tries to distract the tank by walking up to it with her riot shield up, and the tank starts firing at Nicole, thanks to the technology within the shield, the shield absorbs most of the physical energy, which also stops her from getting pushed back to, she has sturdy shoes and her armour enables her to remain static thanks to weight alteration and overall strength of her armour. Zammy and Arvin keep firing at the tank using their powers and Pod takes the chance to try and tip the tank away from the legion, even trying to jam one of the miniature cannons while he is at it, but he does get shot around the shoulder, landing on his back. As he is wearing the life force machine like a bag back, the life force leaks slightly and starts to reform the vegetation from the ground of the forest, vines start growing around the area. This startles the legion and makes them all get going, away from the area. The vines grow stronger, interacting with the tank, going all around it up until the vines manage to crush the tank, the vines start to evolve, similar to Arvin’s abilities, and with the tank crushed, the tank has finished, just about it was about to fire the element catching device. This was one of those situations where teamwork was attempted but, in this case, another route had to be taken, wishing they used the life force earlier, now they know it could do that, but it is sometimes better to try your methods first before going for wild cards, even if the life force saved the legion, everyone looked out for one another. The fight is over, and the legion remains worn out, Pod feels off considering he was shot, and somewhat annoyed that he wasn't helped, but at least he’ll be back at the base where Nicole can aid him. When the legion has a quick look at the tank while also seeing the servicemen crafts on their way, they see that this tank is nothing they have seen before regarding netro, but it looks extra tough like Dyon.  Arvin however gets too close to the energy-containing device, it twitches, and Arvin flinches while showing his life force energy from his body, and this makes the device snatch Arvin via some mini metallic arms inside the device and zoom up. This panics the legion, and it zooms at light speed, unable to catch up to it, even the servicemen wonder what that zooming device was. This worries the legion and makes Pod even madder, but regardless, the servicemen crafts park nearby, and the legion all rush into the craft. With assisting crafts looking around the area, and so they all lift off and off they go, even texting the president for what could be done about the netro tank, for instance, collecting it. Regardless, the legion does get picked up by the servicemen and their crafts, thankful for the ride back but are still disappointed to lose Arvin.

~Chapter 14 – Orphion and Arvin

The device which was thought to carry the life force is zooming closer to Orphion’s ship, Orphion sees this and is very pleased.  He has also finished his upgrading, and he also sees that Dyon is still fighting the tank, hoping the tank will go on top considering he found out that the prior tank was taken down via being squashed but fetching that isn’t a priority, the life force and the liquid metal shall unite. The netrobots take the container and bring it to Orphion, only to open it and find out that it’s Arvin, who leaps out and fights the two netrobots nearby.  Arvin uses his power to create bigger arms and claws, managing to take down the netrobots (and this has been thanks to training from the legion despite being an animal fighter rather than a martial artist) but then Orphion uses liquid metal and throws it to form an abstract cage which Arvin is stuck inside of. Orphion wonders why Arvin is there and not the life force, but if Arvin has the life force, then no wonder the container identified the energy and zoomed up. But if Arvin has the life force, then the life force can be found once again. The prior life force slowly diminished considering how small it was, but now Arvin can be used to create enough life force to keep tracking for a day or more. Orphion gets hold of a nearby tool, a minor energy extractor, it’s a prototype which helped enable Orphion’s main weapon to absorb the life force without any of the energy getting to him. It’s a mace, and a powerful one at that, able to spin its topped to make the mace more of a shredding weapon. As Orphion uses the device against Arvin, Orphion sees that Arvin is the last of his kind, Orphion remembers diminishing the race considering Zionthor thought this race could potentially overthrow him. Luckily Arvin was found by another alien when Arvin was nothing but a foetus, but an escape pod led Arvin to Earth, and he was then looked after by Pod, Nicole and Mike, and these creatures also mature quickly. Orphion then pretends to sympathise with Arvin, saying that the netrobots are a race that has been hunted by many other races. These netrobots cannot have a relaxing life, all they can do as their purpose is to conquer, making them useful for Zionthor, and Orphion is eager to build up their numbers at a point where they can never go, no matter how many times any race tries to fight them. Arvin is both spiteful and fearful towards Orphion, even trying to break the cage, but Orphion tells him not to bother, and so with the procedure completed, Arvin is thrown towards the ceiling by Orphion. Arvin is now stuck in the ceiling no thanks to another set of liquid metal which was thrown, stuck to the ceiling with the cage and then solidified. Orphion is to keep Arvin alive just in case, if Arvin dies, then no more life force. And if the life force is kept further away from Orphion any longer, he will suck Arvin dry. And so Orphion prepares himself for the next battle, a battle which should be soon considering his other netrobots see that there is some progress towards shutting down the earth’s base’s shields.

~Chapter 15 – Back to base

The legion has made it to the base, the life force is placed in a safe within a hidden room (which is notified to all legion members) and now they are going to find Arvin's locations thanks to his very own tracking chip in his body, which will also help find Orphion's ship as well. But as they try and find Arvin, an argument starts to occur, and Pod's trust in the legion gets lost after losing Arvin.  Nicole tries to argue back by saying that there is a chance to bring back Arvin and that considering how close Pod is to Arvin, Pod should have pointed out and criticised Arvin’s curious nature. Pod wonders why he joined a team like this, letting Earth home him when he could have been freer and roam whenever. Afterwards, Nicole reminds him that he wouldn’t have met Arvin in the first place and all the negative history of him in the past needs to evolve, going from cannon fodder into a genuine hero. Zammy can find Arvin's location, and while he didn’t take part in the argument, it had reached a point where he has doubts about staying with this team if these arguments were to reoccur, drawing attention away from him or getting negative vibes from them. But this argument is cut short as the netrobots take the chance to strike the base once the shields are down temporarily. Arvin was used to tracking where the life force is (which is at the base), and so the netrobots and even Orphion himself fight a damaged base, fighting servicemen who are less prepared, this makes the legion keep themselves together. And so, the base has been fired at, some of the servicemen try and get the shields back up as soon as possible before another strike occurs, but most of it has been wrecked, fire and debris everywhere, a lot of servicemen injured, some willing to fight, the rest are not, and sadly some servicemen have even died. Immediately, the netro fighter crafts start coming, not only firing at the base but even dropping off netrobots too, firing their guns.  Mike and Retron get the servicemen to circle the base, get their tanks going, drive the four-by-fours in a circle and get the crafts in the air. This allows the good side to overwhelm the enemy team and form a defence alongside eyes in the sky. The legion is also down considering the legion building is not far, but they start seeing the attack from quite a distance, with no Awesome Atone (it has not yet been fetched by the servicemen) and so Nicole’s spare four-by-four is still intact, and the legion gets driving. The servicemen and netrobots use their abilities again, going at each other from a distance, and with slightly more netrobots, they start closing in. But what makes matters worse is that Orphion has now arrived in his craft, he sends the craft to drone mode, making it a force in the air. And so Orphion stands strong, gripping his mace, summoning a few guns all around his body and then he starts to zoom into battle. Orphion knocks into and fires at multiple servicemen and vehicles, making many go into the cover or try to avoid fire, making them distracted from the netrobots going after them too. And so Orphion is about to enter the building, only for Pod to throw his trident like a javelin and hit Orphion in the side of his head. As Orphion tries to get his netrobots to breach the base, Nicole drives her four by four into Orphion as she guides Zammy into the base to find the life force while Pod is tasked to fight Orphion head on, with Mike and other servicemen trying to help. Dyon in the meantime is still fighting his tank, taking too much fire, but still able to fly. But he now has to be careful, this tank cannot be left alone with the defenceless residents, Dyon has to take it down despite wanting to help the base. Nicole and Zammy have found the life force, and Zammy is tasked to defend it, on his own, but will remain in contact with the others. Zammy gets nervous but Nicole appeals to Zammy by saying that if Zammy wants to show off, then he must do something good in the meantime, and so Nicole runs and is about to join the fight, but she sees and hears about all the injuries happening This made her think, instead of always being on the job, she then has a small hint from her heart, that she could do with helping in more sentimental ways. Aiding a load of servicemen could help bring the numbers up again, after all, her medical skills are very efficient, and the first aid servicemen could do with her help. Back to Orphion however, despite Pod’s efforts, Pod is somewhat beaten badly, still wanting to fight, but Mike gets mildly whacked, and the servicemen’s help is reduced for Pod and Mike. Nicole explains what the legion’s positions are, to which Pod understands but has a sense of being left out, something which Arvin has always been providing. But with Pod down, Orphion and some assisting netrobots start to breach the base. Zammy is nervous, hearing that the netrobots are starting to come about, Zammy is prepared to fight, and he does zap some incoming netrobots by constantly producing lightning, but then he sees Pod and Mike come about to fight Orphion. This makes Zammy scared, it's the first time they are seeing Orphion after all, Zammy is about to wait for a clear shot, but then Orphion grabs hold of Mike and throws him through a window. Zammy runs to get hold of Mike before he falls, Zammy catches Mike, but as Orphion properly hurts Pod using his mace, Orphion then grabs hold of the life force and starts to run. The netrobots start to attack inside the base, and Orphion starts to contact all the netrobots to retreat, all in the aircraft and off they go with the life force.  The legion is gutted, and even Retron is mad as he tries to snipe at any more netrobots he can get hold of. But the land is a wreck, everyone is worn out and the life force is gone, making Retron somewhat angry that Earth could be in danger from this, and he is gathering ideas for what to do next. Nicole has aided many including Pod and Mike is thankful for Zammy saving him, Zammy’s ego has lessened to a point where he is considering others more, and even Nicole is more into people compared to the mission at hand, but both need a balance.  Back to Dyon and the collabos, Dyon is getting more and more disappointed that he is unable to not only help the legion but also unable to help many other situations, he is not keen on letting anyone down considering how efficient he is, he is known for it on many worlds. Dyon is getting more and more damaged, and while he is running out of choices, despite his power, he does his best to avoid environmental damage, he does try and be careful. Despite his lowering power, he does manage to save one collabos from some rubble and then zooms back to the tank. From how impressive Dyon is, considering this is a race that has never seen Dyon before, the race becomes inspired, and so they get hold of their new catapults, they are uncertain if they will work, and it is unknown if their rocks will help against the tank, but they can still try. As Dyon is at his wit's end, the catapults get fired, trying against the tank, this does make the tank distracted, making the tank fire at the collabos using its main cannons and side cannons.  Dyon takes advantage of this despite being nervous for them, and so Dyon zooms towards the tanks and fires missiles down the main cannons which damage some of the machinery inside the tank. Dyon then manages to rip the tops off the tank, and even the side cannons, destroying the whole tank, finally.  Over time, the race comes to celebrate Dyon, and Dyon quickly thanks them, knowing that Earth needs his help. Dyon while thanking the race, states that the race didn’t have to help him considering the danger, but the race goes on to say that even the most powerful beings would need help, Dyon thinks about that and then zooms off, getting a star to heal himself too, already knowing where to go next. The netrobots after hearing and seeing that both tanks are down, disappointed, seeing that their primary nemesis is still around, even finding out that the other tank was crushed by vegetation, confusing them all and annoying them. Even Orphion is told about this, but now he has the life force, the tanks can be gathered later, and he is a step up from what a couple of ranks can do.

~Chapter 16 – A galactic war

Hours later, Orphion now has the life force, Zammy gets fired by Retron for letting the battle lead into failure, and the base prepares for a space battle before the netrobots make any more steps. Pod even tries to find a way to leave Earth after being fed up with being part of another fraction involving combat, where others are getting hurt, losing those who he has cared for compared to other people in his past life. Nicole sees that Pod tried to leave the earth, finding a possible airport or anything else, but as Pod is followed by Nicole, Pod does realise that if he leaves, who is going to help Arvin? Where else can he go? Will there be another planet that can accept him in this way? That does make him stop in his tracks as Nicole goes up to him. Nicole sees that Pod is down on his luck, Pod collapses to his knees, disappointed with his decision, but Nicole reassures him that even if Retron doesn't want the legion to help anymore, they will make their own decisions, something Mike would have wanted. And so, their next stop is Zammy, who else has access to the air. Zammy has nearly finished the creation of the Awesome Atone, with the flight mode. Zammy is also considering leaving the planet, to find attention elsewhere, anywhere else who could accept him and his gadgets. He has lived on earth for ages as a different-looking human, and the gadgets have been his only friends. But as Zammy is about to walk inside the craft, Nicole and Pod find him, thanks to using his tracking chip. Zammy wasn't keen to see them at first, but eventually, Nicole and Pod get Zammy to listen, saying he is a good being. Someone who is starting to become worthy thanks to helping others, even if losing track of the original objective which still can be made up for later. Even Pod talked about how Arvin saw good in Zammy such as the cool powers and gadgets, and Pod explains how Zammy certainly uses more initiative compared to most newcomers. This gets Zammy somewhat emotional, seeing that he is made for more, able to please others while also seeing that he is making genuine friends which he never expected, and so, the Awesome Atone gets up into the air. Orphion now has full power, and he plans to get himself and the rest back down to earth to start creating netrobots from the earth’s ground. However, this plan gets squandered as an army of servicemen crafts is coming to him, and so he gets all his netrobots ready for a massive dogfight. The servicemen craft mainly fire lasers, auto-aim torpedos and flares. The netro fighters however can fire from all angles able to fire multiple missiles and even a grappling hook which can swing crafts around. Orphion in the meantime does make his way to go and leave his ship, flying out on his own to start using earth to grow more netrobots using the earth as a foundation but most likely doing it on his own, using the liquid metal to form the solid metal and the life force to bring the netrobots to life. The battle so far is rough, because of the base attack earlier, the servicemen are too slightly limited compared to earlier, making it hard for them to fight the netrobots, even if their numbers are somewhat low too. The servicemen and Mike however are pushed to their limits with this space battle, with not many netrobots getting destroyed, making the effort all wasted. But; the tide of the battle does lean more towards the good guys however as the legion is now around, even Dyon is flying through the fight as well, as the only netrobot alongside Orphion who can cope with space. Zammy as the only pilot is driving the Awesome Atone, Nicole and Pod are all firing lightning out of the turrets, side turrets and top turrets and Zammy shoots the front turrets, getting rid of multiple netro fighters. While this does please Mike who too is flying in space, Retron is keeping tabs on the base, getting jealous of the legion's significant steps, wondering why Zammy is back in action after servicemen report that Zammy’s vehicle is around. Orphion begins to rush, seeing the good guys outweighing him, he gets out of the ship, finding an exit first, and even Dyon zooms around Orphion's massive ship to not only try to find Orphion but get hold of Arvin, trapped in Orphion’s room. The doors are ripped open by Dyon, and Dyon flies to the Awesome Atone as the vehicle manages to find an area in the hanger bay of Orphion's massive ship, Arvin is handed from Dyon to Nicole, adding Arvin to the firing of lightning from the ship, everyone is pleased to see that Arvin is alive, but Orphion and the space battle must end, and Orphion is already out of the ship. Dyon earlier did shoot at damaged parts of the ship's engine at a point where the entire ship started to explode, leaving the netro fighters alone, disappointing Orphion and other netrobots. And so the next plan is performed, The legion will get a star for Dyon just in case as Dyon attempts to keep Orphion away from the earth as they both fly while also aiding the space battle. Dyon and Orphion meet eye to eye for the first time in a very long time, Dyon may have been busy no thanks to Zionthor but he now has his chance to get rid of the worst parts of his race. With the worry of the legion getting hurt by Orphion, Dyon was hoping to face Orphion on his own.  Despite the effort, Orphion managed to take himself and Dyon down to earth, which the legion sees. Dyon tries to tell the legion to leave him to Orphion, but if the earth is in danger, then the legion must get involved somehow. The legion before going to Earth quickly gets to the nearest star via light speed just in case Dyon needs to recover. At Mount Lebon, Orphion and Dyon crash down to the mountain, and now they have both lost their flight, They go at each other with their fist, legs and weapons. So far, the fight is fairly balanced, with Dyon mainly going for Orphion’s head, and mace alongside the arm device which produces the liquid metal, while also trying to go for his legs and weapons along the way.  While Dyon manages to land a good few hits which somewhat dent the armour and even Orphion loses his spinning arm blade and most of his machine guns. Orphion later gets the upper hand by zapping Dyon with life force energy, making Dyon unable to use any of his weapons, so Dyon starts to get beaten up at a point where bits of metal come off Dyon, and once Dyon gets beaten up, he is thrown aside. Orphion now proceeds with his plan to spawn as many netrobots as possible, spawning many netrobots from the natural ground of Earth, so far it is close to the mountain, but if left for too long, too many netrobots will be occurring all over the planet. This is done as Orphion jabs his main mace weapon towards the ground, spreading the liquid metal and life force everywhere, with Orphion just able to control it. It's his mace taking most of the energy that saves his systems from being as deterred compared to an average netrobot. However, the legion starts to come, with the Awesome Atone starting to fire at Orphion, even some of the netrobots that have risen from the ground so far. Nicole does have instructions for everyone, She will fire from afar, supporting Pod as Pod fights Orphion in person, and Zammy and Arvin will work together to stop the mace from adding more netrobots to the ground. Even Pod getting whacked in the shoulder earlier does slow him down a tab but he fights through it, even Mike was well looked after getting whacked by Orphion during the previous battle, the painkillers are much quicker and Mike has had similar injuries before so he too knows how to fight through the bruising. And so they all have their orders, and it will not be easy. Even the space battle is starting to get harder for the servicemen, even with Orphion's massive ship gone, making it trickier for Mike. Before Arvin helps Zammy, Zammy is not only scared to sort out the weapon on his own but Arvin senses that Dyon is wrecked and is below the mountain, and so the Awesome Atone is controlled by Zammy so that Arvin can get hold of the star from the Awesome Atone to which the legion fetched earlier.  However, the legion has arrived at the Awesome Atone, frustrating Orphion, making Orphion form another mace from the liquid metal, and even begins to shoot at the Awesome Atone via one of his remaining machine guns from his arms. Nicole has her next plan, after seeing both Dyon and Orphion, Arvin is to provide Dyon with the star, Nicole will act as long-range, Pod will be the forefront fighter and Zammy can stay in the Awesome Atone as air support. All of the members are onto it, Zammy aims carefully with the Awesome Atone while Pod attempts to fight Orphion head-on, despite Orphion being made up of metal and having way more abilities than Pod. But Nicole also starts to help as she fires her laser gun with her shield up, even firing her grenade launcher when Pod is more distant from Orphion alongside an occasional concussion to make Orphion disadvantaged whilst fighting by making his senses slightly glitchy. Thanks to the training on the roof of the Awesome Atone, despite it being handy for Zammy, it has enabled the likes of Pod to try and use new tricks against Orphion, trying to use more countering moves alongside focusing on taking Orphion down alongside beating up based moves which Pod is already familiar of. Arvin also manages to go to Dyon with the star, and due to the amount of damage Dyon retained at a point where he was missing three limbs, revealing the skull beneath his face alongside many other chunks of metal chipped off him, he is about to get back on his feet. But he contacts the legion members that while he will help against Orphion mildly by firing at him for a bit, it’s the space battle that needs his help more which the legion understands, not to mention Dyon does start to see that the legion together should have the same force as Dyon, seeing and knowing the capability of the legion. Before Dyon zooms up from being fully healed, Nicole has to avoid Orphion’s up-close attacks and fire as Nicole keeps her shield up and Pod was badly hit back earlier, taking hits he has never experienced. But Dyon does fight Orphion by knocking Orphion into the ground, damaging most of his weapons and then Orphion gets fired at before Dyon zooms up. Despite the advantage, now that Arvin has healed Dyon, Arvin has his next instruction to try and jar the main mace in the ground to stop any more netrobots from spawning, but Arvin struggles as Nicole and Pod try and protect him. Orphion manages to take the chance to fire at the Awesome Atone, making Zammy crash into the side of the mountain, making Zammy jump out in disappointment, he has no vehicle but Nicole states to Zammy that Zammy he can help Arvin, there are many ways to ‘teamwork’. As Zammy makes his way to Arvin, Orphion sees Zammy, but Zammy strikes at Orphion with a lightning strike followed by mounds of lightning, that is where Pod and Nicole manage to take Orphion down with a grenade followed by a rugby tackle. This allows Zammy to get to Arvin, who is struggling to pull the weapon from the ground using his temporarily evolved arms, and so Zammy has an idea, to stop the weapon, Zammy zaps it constantly to stop the process, it accidentally facilitates it, but a good few hits towards the ground near the weapon should do the trick, and the weapon does slowly get more distant from the ground. While that is happening, Dyon is still helping the servicemen up in space, even taking the chance to destroy the netromancer all by himself, taking down a good portion of the netrobots, zooming around, shooting or flying into netrobot crafts as well to help reduce the numbers immensely. This is something which Mike is thankful for considering both he and other servicemen have been struggling. Down at the base, Retron is overseeing the base, seeing which servicemen he can get on board once they have been helped by first aid from the previous fights. Both he and other servicemen have to stay on earth because the netrobots who are spawning from the ground start to become more able to form abilities like shooting lasers. One shoots one explosive laser which makes Retron fall off the base alongside other servicemen, making Earth nearly unsafe, and thankfully The residents are still safe considering this invasion has been never-ending, with servicemen still overseeing them, but less compared to earlier considering how much help is needed. Even Mike who has been on tabs with all the servicemen and even the legion is shocked to find out Retron has been shot, wondering if Retron will make it, but he is already seen by servicemen. After finding out that netrobots are starting to grow on Earth, and this is where Mike tells everyone that he will help shoot the netrobots growing from the ground. The space battle above seems balanced enough, but the Orphion fight, not so much. Pod is still getting beaten badly, Nicole is having to shoot at both Orphion and the netrobots and Zammy and Arvin struggle to remove the main mace. In the end, the mace does get pulled once Zammy and Arvin are given more time without Orphion in the way, and that is where they have an idea. If the netro tank was destroyed via the life force, then so should Orphion. Thanks to Zammy and Arvin’s idea, Nicole agrees, and so she shoots a concussion at Orphion’s face once more, with Pod trying to kneel Orphion downwards, with the help of Mike firing his ship’s guns towards Orphion’s legs while also being careful not to fire at Pod. Arvin also fires life force energy from his mouth to try and stun Orphion and Zammy uses a lightning strike to zap the mace towards Orphion’s chest and torso, which causes the life force inside to act up, vines come from around the ground, the legion move out the way. Orphion tries to escape it, chopping the vines, shooting at them, trying to coat the vines in liquid metal, but none of it works If anything some vines are coated with metal which makes the vines stronger. The vines start to go through the gaps of Orphion’s metallic body, the vines start to affect most of the machine’s functions, Some parts get pulled apart but even a thick stalk starts to form, outgrowing Orphion’s body at a point where Orphion is completely torn apart, killing him. With the mace already removed from the ground, this stops the generation of the netrobots, and that is where the legion uses their long-distance attacks to take each netrobot down, except Pod who uses the last of his energy to take down the netrobots, one by one, ending the fight on the ground. The battle in the sky also manages to end, mainly thanks to Dyon’s efficiency, and once the fight is over, the servicemen all fly down, checking the whole earth for netrobots, even taking down the remaining ones that have been formed. Now the fight has calmed down, Dyon updates the others that the fight is starting to round up, and so he takes the chance to help another planet, considering how many planets had to be put aside to help the earth, to help take down his kind. And now, he is the last of his kind, and Dyon despite his lack of emotions, still has a minor feeling of guilt, having to take down his race for the good of other races. Zemion, his creator, wanted the race to defend the universe initially when certain guardians went, no thanks to Zionthor’s race. As Orphion tainted the race, Zemion wished Dyon to get rid of the lot, stars were never to be weaponised and made as living beings in the first place, meaning once the universe is at a much better spot, Dyon might have to leave existence itself, he can’t stick around if more netro influence occurs currently. Earth has netro, and who knows what is going to happen to it, he plans to tell everyone on Earth, and even on other planets not to mention there have been other races who have attempted to form their netro technology. This is something which both Dyon and Zemion never wanted to happen, and so alongside sorting out Zionthor’s allies, that is another aspect for Dyon to reduce in his own time, now he will be less busy with the netrobots out the way. Regardless, with Orphion being nothing more than a tree, the legion all sit in silence, worn out from the trickiest fight yet, but they are all happy, happy with the teamwork, with everyone having injuries which are treatable like bruises and a few cuts, and everyone agrees to go back to their building and chill for some time. Even all the servicemen start coming home, and start having their celebration with Mike welcoming them, and soon welcoming the legion to provide his praise for them, including the servicemen that used to mock Zammy, not to mention all of the netro that needs gathering especially from the tree that outgrew Orphion, a tree which is the eighth wonder of the world.

~Chapter 17 – What now?

Back up to the Deepa Fortress, hours later, Zionthor has no contact from Orphion at all, no calls replied via the communication spell, making Zionthor think that Orphion and the rest of the netrobots are also down. The communication spell is a universal spell many use to contact anyone at any time, Zionthor and his allies have this, but the spell will cut off if the one on the other side is dead.  Zionthor alongside his servant Mollug entertain the idea that this was the doing of this new legion, with Dyon tied to it, making the legion their biggest problem, there has been no bigger obstacle in the way of the energy sources he wants as tricky as this since hundred years ago. Zionthor does not like it when his allies fail, even the Flamo’s from earlier stated that they quit this power-searching quest, hoping to find their peace. But due to being powerful beings who actively fight, Zionthor killed them all. Even back in the present, a Jawsharp, a shark-like humanoid with weapons which are brass knuckles with a decent blade attached to the top, was hoping to assassinate Zionthor, but Mollug sees this and uses a powerful spell to take down jawsharp. Zionthor to finish him off using his heavy-bladed shoes, squishing him. With this happening, a decent plan needs to be formed, involving everyone in the Deepa fortress, it is not just a power search, it is also finding out how to take down the legion, and perhaps Earth too. Back to earth, Zammy is sitting on the beach, but this time, Nicole comes to join him now that Nicole checked her injury from earlier, helping the servicemen with first aid too. Nicole also comes to say well done to Zammy, for helping Nicole and the others for all sorts, even seeing Zammy as a proper member and seeing potential in the future, who knows what else the teamwork can lead to? Later in this chat, Dyon slowly flies downwards, landing softly on the beach’s sand. Nicole and Zammy stand up quickly in surprise and go up to Dyon, Dyon states he doesn’t have long because he needs to be ready for the next time he is needed. He quickly comes to say that he considers himself to be a temporary legion member as he is replying to Nicole’s text from earlier after the battle was finished, if Dyon is needed all around the universe, then he won’t always be around, but he will help them if the legion truly needs him. But Dyon overall thanks the legion, and then zooms in the air as if nothing can beat his sound-breaking speed. Dyon also mentioned to the legion that netro can be used for simpler purposes like melting it to paint on top of objects to make it harder like some weapons or other uses like forming the body of vehicles or even forming metallic bars for scaffolding. He doesn’t want it to be manipulated into other technology, it could mislead anyone into thinking they can do whatever with it only to let them down later such as the fact that netro is sensitive to other forms of energy other than its lasers it can produce. Netro needs to remain in the stars for them to shine, not a resource that could be used to try and be more powerful than other races, and this the legion will explain to the other leads of earth too.  Meanwhile, in the base, Pod and Arvin see Dyon fly as they both look out the window, Mike then joins Pod and Arvin after checking to see if Retron is okay after getting blasted away by a nearby shot, even damaging his metallic legs.  Mike then goes on to ask about Pod trying to leave earlier. Pod apologises and considers unless it’s a more serious situation, he cannot see himself leaving, the legion and he needs each other, and the entirety of the universe’s peace needs him, just like every other legion member. Mike is glad to see the legion make such as great step, and it is about to get greater. Mike receives a notification that the president is about to enter the base, and Mike goes to notify Nicole and Zammy about this as well. And so, at the legion building, the legion sees the president, arriving in a smart green shirt and a greatly designed wheelchair, capable of going up hills and adapting to slippery surfaces. It was due to a past hostage situation where he lost his legs, but his leadership skills still flow like water, and as the leader of the whole planet, he grants the legion to be an official team, no longer an experiment. He says hello to every legion member, only familiar with Nicole considering the president has not only granted Nicole as captain but her ancestors too, who were soldiers just like her and past ancestors, going as far back as time before World War one. The president talks about how her past family would be very pleased with her so far, and Nicole would like this success to be well known one day when the whole universe is ready for the legion. Thanks to Mike and the president catching up, the president becomes more optimistic about each legion member despite being aliens, but after talking with them, the president does see great future potential for them all, seeing them alike well-behaved human beings, even if they’re not.
